Being a fierce, fun-loving runner who stops and says "Hi" every time I see a dog, shows that I might have a slight obsession for 4 legged furry animals. I spend my weekday hours teaching High School Science (yes, that is Bill Nye, The Science Guy in my photo). I value the importance of animals and teach a veterinary science course to my students so I am aware of anatomy/physiology of animals as well as their needs and care. Having experience working a vet assistant in college, helped me pursue my love of animals. After completing my Masters Degree in Zoology over two years ago and being around dogs my entire life, dog sitting seemed like the next logical and enjoyable step in life.
I enjoy dog running, walking, and sitting on my mornings/evenings and weekends. If your dog is athletic, I would love to run him/her 4-6 miles, although I have been known to out run a dog or two! I am also okay with walks or strolls in the park. I have no problem spoiling a dog. You might catch me throwing a mean chuck-it or sneaking an extra scoop of peanut butter in a kong. Overnight(in your house) dog sitting is my specialty since I have the opportunity to give your dog my undivided attention! ***Note: I charge an additional dog rate of $10 if you have more than one furry child. I'm also open to taking your pup(s) on field trips to the beach or extended hiking trips. Happy dogs make me happy!
Originally from Michigan, I grew up on a farm raising chickens, pigs, horses, and growing veggies. My childhood dog was a Dalmatian named Chocolate chipped Cody. Although I miss Michigan, I am proud to call the Bay Area my home!
