About Maggie

13 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Anyone in Lexington interested in having your dog walked when you have a long day at work or are going on vacation and don't want to take them to the stressful environment of a kennel? Well, I am now apart of this amazing organization that allows me to watch your pups in my own home! I have been using DogVacay as a guest for my dog, Riley, over a year now and have really enjoyed him getting one on one attention from dog lovers like me!

I am currently a full-time student at the University of Kentucky. My current class schedule is about 9-3 Monday-Friday with 2 hours of free time around noon. I have owned my dog Riley for 8 years and he is my best friend. I have been a dog lover since I was about 8 years old when a 120lb rescue German Doberman showed up my house needing a friend. Needless to say, it took a while to convince my parents to keep him but that big giant goof started my huge love for dogs.

I have grown up with standard Poodles, teacup poodles, pit bulls, Australian Shepards and every type of mutt you can think of. I have been a vet tech at one of the largest equine vet clinics in the country, Rood and Riddle, so I have a lot of experience with animals big and small.

My apartment is on the smaller side, approximately 750 SQ feet, but because I am home all day I take my dog for walks frequently to Woodland park and often hang out with him on our large porch. Some would consider the size a deterrent but I believe there is enough room for your dog to spend it's lounging time when we are not outside.

I am also a runner(about 2 miles) and would enjoy bringing your healthy dog along with me to get any energy out. Also a few times a week I go to the dog park and with your permission, I would love to take your dog.

I can't wait to spend time with all your fluffy family members!

Maggie has been a family friend of mine for over 10 years. She is ALWAYS the one I call to watch my pets for me when I'm out of town. From cats to dogs to horses, she's watched them all and done a fabulous job with it. I trust her with my pets because I've seen what a great pet owner she is herself! My fur babies are always happy and safe when I come back home and she has watched them!

Maggie Rabren is a stand-up person who not only will take care of your dog, but will give your dog the love that they deserve. I left my 8 year old Golden retriever with Maggie one weekend, and when I came home my dog was one happy pup. Furthermore, they live in a safe home that is right in downtown Lexington. Can't go wrong with leaving your best friend with Maggie.

Maggie was very accommodating, we have a very high maintenance dog with his separation anxiety and she did great with him. She also sent lots of pictures and text updates which helped ease our minds. We will definitely book her again in the future
Maggie has quickly become our go-to for help with our puppy. She has even helped with last minute needs.
Maggie stayed at our house with our 4 fur-babies for a week. We got daily updates and the pups seemed to get lots of attention. We came home to happy doggos and a cleaner house than we left it. The only heart-breaking thing is that now our dog, Eddie, misses his girlfriend (Maggie). We highly recommend Maggie and will definitely use her services again...Eddie can't wait.
Maggie did awesome! Asher had such a great day with her he didn't want to leave. Asher and Riley got along super well, and Asher got to play all day! Thank you so much for caring for Asher. He had such a good time while I was st clinical. Maggie is the best! She loves dogs and takes the time to get to know your pup. I was definitely be usuing her service again!
I called Maggie last minute and she was great. She sent pics of Ozzy getting some special one on one while he was with her. Felt comforted that Maggie was taking care of him. Thanks Maggie!
Maggie was wonderful! She took time to make sure my girls and I were excited about the stay including taking a great amount of time to make sure my sometimes grouchy dog was OK with her sweet Riley.
I notified Maggie on short notice to do house visits for my three dogs. One of them was a challenge since she is so shy and timid. She did a great job and kept me informed.
My dog had a wonderful time with Maggie! I knew I left her in good hands when I dropped her off. She got walks and plenty of cuddle time. I will definitely return to Maggie the next time I leave town!
