About Madeline

10 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Leaving your children or pets with a stranger can be a difficult decision, so it's my job to make sure that you and your dog feel as comfortable and at home as possible. I want you to have the best day at work or vacation possible, just being able to focus on yourself :) The last thing any mom or dad wants to think about is if their "baby" is safe and happy without you there.

My husband and I treat our dogs better than most people treat their children, because to us they aren't just "pets", they are apart of our family. And because they are your babies, we want you and them to feel at home and apart of our family as well :)

I work from home, so your dogs will have a constant companion :) I imagine you'll want to be updated on how and what they are doing, which is why I'm here! Sending pictures and FaceTime can happen whenever you'd like updates or to just say hello! Of course, if you're at work and only want to be contacted in a case of an emergency, then that can happen as well. No matter how much or how little of communication you want, through whatever media (text, FaceTime, call, email) I will do, so that you have the best piece of mind while you're away from your little one (or if your dogs are like mine, big ones :) ).

I know a big concern for parents when they leave their dogs at a stranger's house is all of the possible variables that "can go wrong" that you don't have control over. Here, it's just my husband, me, and our 2 dogs. We don't have children and rarely have houseguests, but if that did occur, we would tell you ahead of time and answer any questions you have about them, you could even meet them! All of our friends and family are pet lovers, and to be quite honest, if they weren't, they wouldn't be spending time at our house.

My husband and I are both fit and in our late 20s. We both played sports growing up and I actually continued on throughout college. We have the energy for as much play as your dog(s) need, but also the maturity to provide the best care and safety of your dog(s) as well. We know the signs of territory or object aggression/resource guarding and having experience in dealing with them. I have dealt with barking, marking, shyness, overweight, underweight, injured, old, young.... I've experienced a lot of different types and traits in dogs...and just like my opinion with humans, it's a judgement free zone; I just want to make sure your dogs are taken care of to the best of my ability and done just how you would if you were here!

I have 2 awesome (neutered) dogs named Hogan and Big Fudge :) You can see their little profiles on my page :) I love my dogs so much, like any parent I think they are the greatest things in the whole world. But I think it's important to state that I don't have rose colored glasses/blinders on. If my dog does something or is in the wrong, and I sense they are making your dog(s) uncomfortable, I will separate them. Your dogs happiness and safety will always be a priority, my boys are happy hanging out anywhere :) Now, I don't foresee anything happening since both of my boys are not territorial and LOVE making new friends, but we want you as dog parents to have the most information possible! They love running and playing in the backyard and lounging around the house with everyone, dog or human!

As far as my house goes, we have a pretty normal sized Rancher-style 3 bed 2 bath. We have both carpet and tile throughout. Dogs usually like to spend their time in my room on my bed and/or in either living room, but their favorite tends to be outside. I have a big fenced in yard and live in a great neighborhood (filled with seriously the nicest people) for plenty of walks and exercise. Even though my yard is fenced in, I always go outside with the dogs, just to make sure everyone is safe and happy :) Plus, if I'm not there, who will throw the ball?? ;)

I can work with any feeding/walking schedule that you and your dog have. I am very flexible and obviously want your dogs to have as much consistency in their day to day as possible! Just let me know if there are any food allergies, so that I can make sure your pup is safe and healthy!

I know that just like people, dogs have their own personalities... so if before deciding to stay with us, you'd like to come over with your dog(s), to meet me and my boys and check out the place, just let me know! Whether it's for a few hours a day or the whole weekend, I want everyone to be confident and comfortable!

I hope whomever you choose, is a perfect fit for you and your pups, and if it's me, I can't wait to meet you all! :)

My wife Maddy is one of the most dog-loving people I have ever met, and that is one of the many reasons that I married her. If you look at our monthly expenses, you'll see most of them going towards things for our two furry sons to be healthy and happy. She loves all dogs and is very patient and attentive with them. A true dog mommy though and through. She is always looking up dog things on her phone to be a better parent (although I think she reached that ceiling a WHILE ago) and if you look at her search history on our computer, you'll see what I mean. I can't imagine a better person to take care of anyone else's furry kids better than Maddy as I trust her with ours and our future human kids!

We love Maddy- she is the only sitter we will use for our Cocker Spaniel. He has anxiety issues at the groomer, vet, etc, but absolutely loves being with her- it's the only time we don't feel badly leaving him behind. She is loving and attentive, our dog gets spoiled in all the best ways, and is always calm and tired from playing at the end of the day. Our dog can sometimes have dominance issues with other dogs, and she's great with really being in-tune to the dynamic going on and making sure everyone is happy and safe. Once you meet Maddy it's clear how much she loves animals- we recommend her to anyone looking for a happy, loving, safe place for their furbabies.

Madeline is going to be our new dog sitter whenever we need one. When I started looking on DogVacay to see if we might be able to find someone who could watch our dogs that very evening, I thought it was a long shot…but she was able to accommodate us and made it so easy for us. I was worried that our dogs and hers might not get along since we didn’t have the time to do a meet and greet beforehand but she had a plan for how she would handle it if they didn’t (separate them in the house but our dogs would still have their own space, not like putting them in crates or the basement or something). And thankfully it didn’t come to that…I really think her dog Hogan is our playful pitbull/boxer mix Ace’s new BFF! It really couldn’t have worked out better - and her passion for dogs really does show. She seems to be a great dog mom and she gave the same attention and care to our furry monsters as if they were her own. We were gone for less than 24 hours and yet she still provided us with updates and photos - so wonderful. Thank you Madeline!
My boyfriend and I are fur-baby parents. Our two dogs are our entire lives. It isn't easy to do anything too far from home because of them and 99% of the time that's fine with us. When a huge trip to New Orleans was planned by my family, I knew finding a dog sitter was going to be like researching colleges for a high school student. I was going to have to be super diligent, ask all the overprotective mom questions and of course, see the "campus". Maddie was more than understanding and invited us over before the trip. She was open to meeting up multiple times after that but we felt so comfortable we didn't feel the need. Their house is comfortable and dog-friendly. Our dogs aren't escapers, so we weren't too concerned about that but I know a lot of people are. No worries when it comes to that! Their yard is very large and secure. They have three sweet dogs too, so you can trust that it's safe! Their home has accommodations for their own dogs and the dogs they watch in case normal separation is necessary. My dog is "quirky" and sometimes needs alone time. She showed me exactly what they do if a dog needs that. Most people would give that dog a sad, dark, lonely place. Nope- Maddie has an entire huge living room with a couch and windows for the dogs who need alone time. The dogs were of course happy to see us, but were still cozying up to both of them as we left. My weirdo dog doesn't usually like men other than my boyfriend and he adored Patrick. Maddie is who you need!
Maddy and her husband were great with our dog Ruckus. He's a 120 lb Italian mastiff and needs a ton of attention. We got daily photos and updates and he was very happy the whole time. He fit right in and got plenty of exercise and was very healthy when he came home. Not an easy dog to care for but maddy and her husband did an excellent job would definitely recommend them and will be doing this again in the future!
Madeline was hands down the absolute best! Her and her husband took care of our baby boy like he was their own. We received texts updates and pictures the entire time. Cohen was in doggy heaven and didn't want to leave the next day. We would recommend her to anyone! Thanks so much for taking care of Cohen!! He'll miss you guys ;-D
My husband and I (and our dogs) feel so so lucky to have found Maddy. We had a tough ask - looking for someone to watch two GIANT dogs - including one very energetic 90 lb Great Dane puppy - over Christmas. Maddy was more than amenable. She herself has two big dogs and a total soft spot for the giants. My husband and I brought our two pups over to meet hers and they all got along so we booked for a week over the holidays. Our fur-babes were so well-cared for and loved. Maddy works from home so the dogs are never too long without attention. She has a big fenced-in yard to tire them out every day and a nice open home comfortable for all the hounds. She sent us pictures every day of playtime and cuddle time, and even followed up to make sure the dogs were good after the trip. We also didn't pack enough food and she was kind enough to go out and get them the type they eat. We will 100% book with Maddy again if she'll have our two big wackadoos!
Maddy, her husband, and pups are awesome! We got lots of pics during our trip and our pups had a great time!
Just wanted to say thank you too madeline and her husband for taking such good care of my girl over the week. When ever i asked she gave me updates with pictures. My dog was a little sad for a few day she missed her friends she made there. i would bring my dog back here again. i highly recommend them to watch and take care of your dog....... Leon
Mandy and Patrick and their pups totally spoiled our pup Blizzard. Mandy is super responsive and sweet and answered all of my questions. I knew from the meet and great that they would be perfect. Love the huge fenced in yard also. Blizzy was immediately wagging her tail when we came back for her weekend. Mandy and her husband were cuddling blizzard even more than i do and she looked soooo relaxed and happy when i came to get her. Mandy even baked her organic doggie treats. I was so impressed and happy with these guys! i almost don't want to leave such a great review so they don't get too busy :). Honestly - these are dog loving very caring and responsible guys with sweet pups for my pup to play with.
Our dog Lola stay with Madeline for three nights and it was great. Madeline was very flexible ( this was a very last minute trip we had to take) and easy to talk to when we were away. She posted and sent us pictures of Lola walking with Madeline's dogs and playing with them in her backyard. That made us feel much better about Lola's first overnight stay because we could see that she was doing well. So I would definitely recommend Madeline, she is great!
Maddy was great! Literally asked her the day of to watch my dog and she was able to accommodate. Super friendly and dog loving. My dog looked very happy in all of the update pics she sent. I definitely approve and will always use her as a sitter. Thanks again!
