Fenced in back yard, 2 kids that love dogs, your dogs must be kid friendly, I do work during the day but am able to come home and give them a potty break and walk or run around the back yard whatever they prefer. I prefer kennel at night and while I'm away but if your dog is 100% potty trained and housed trained I'm ok with leaving them out to lounge around the house while away. We also have a park close by,
