Animals have been the focus of my life for as long as I can remember. My dream was to become a veterinarian and after working for many years as a vet assistant, I was able to complete my pre vet med program at Michigan State University. Unfortunately, due to the economy, I was unable to complete my training and had to pursue another career path.
That did not change my love for animals...which I share with my husband and we have passed along to our son (17). We have had many pets in the 21 years that we have been married (cats, dogs, reptiles) and have even taken in animals that would have ended up in shelters and nursed them to health and found them loving, forever homes.
As pet owners, we understand how frightening it can be to trust someone with the care of your pets while you are away for a day or a week. Our pets are members of our families - they were my and my husbands first children and siblings to our son. In our home, pets are not just animals, but loving beings that are treated with respect and patience as we would treat any member of our family.
Our home is sectioned off with the dogs having full run of the main floor (wood flooring) and supervised access to the upstairs (carpet). There are multiple dog beds around the main floor area so the dogs can be cuddled together or have a private space when they need some solitude. The sectioned off areas also allow for private feeding if your dog has any food aggression issues.
Our fenced in yard is large enough for your dog to have an invigorating run. There are trees for shaded lounging as well as open areas to bask in the warm afternoon sun. And they will get plenty of exercise with our 17 year old son who loves to play fetch or wrestle around in a dog pile.
We would love to have your little furry one as a guest in our home - and our family - while you are away.
