Loving care. And walks!

Pet care experience

I LOVE dogs! Grew up with a miniature schnauzer and was a dog mom for nine years to Rusty, a small terrier rescue mix. After Rusty passed, I got my "dog fix" by fostering and dog sitting. It's a terrific way to experience many personalities and various mixes of pups. On 7/5/20, I adopted my own pup, Dezi - a sweet female 18 lbs of love from Puerto Rico. Dezi is sweet, social, adaptable, and she enjoys company. I don't dog sit as often as I used to, but if the compatibility is there, it will be a fun time for your pup and mine! In-person meet and greet required before booking. I'm particular about the dogs I care for, eg house trained, not aggressive. I'm partial to small and medium dogs. Chemistry is everything. I'm originally from the Southwest, was in NYC for 25 years, recently moved to Studio City. My apartment is small, so if your dog is very active, it's probably best that I sit in your home. Let's talk about what is best for your furry family member. For holiday weekends or additional services, there may be an additional charge. Doggie Day care includes walks!

Gail was awesome! We had a great meet and greet before the visit which made me feel really good. Gail asked a ton of great questions to make sure our dog was in really good hands. Gail sent pictures over the course of the stay, took our dog for walks etc. It was an absolutely pleasure meeting and working with Gail. Highly recommend! Thank you Gail!

Gail was flexible and kind. She sent us pictures daily of our dog on long walks & even took to her favorite dog park! I did not worry about her at all while we were gone because I knew she was in good hands. Thank you, Gail!

We never expected our hound to suddenly take an extreme downturn in health while we were traveling abroad, have to be taken to the emergency room and then be put to sleep. Which is not to say that he was in good health when we dropped him off at Gail's. He had been diagnosed with kidney problems, was increasingly lethargic and at twelve years was certainly an old Cairn terrier. But dogs can be hard to read. We will ever be grateful that he was in good hands with Gail, whose thorough and sensitive communications guided us through his last, distant days, and whose commitment to him included springing into action in ways that were never planned for. Such loving care for a dog in distress is what one hopes for. With Gail as caregiver, one can count on it.

Safety, trust & environment

I'm sensitive to each dog, respectful, kind and intuitive, mindful that some pups need a little time to settle in and get used to new people. I've researched dog care and training and incorporate my learnings into the care. Note: I have my own sweet dog, Dezi - 18 lbs - she is sweet, shy, and friendly - enjoys having another dog around. I have a small, clean apartment with comfy rugs. I can care for your dog in your home or mine, whichever seems best for the pup.
