About Kat

10 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Looking for an active sitter with good all around energy? I'm an outdoor runner who loves dogs and running with dogs.

Here's why I'm perfect for your pup(s):

- I'm an avid outdoor runner. I require ample doses of exploration in my life. Thus, I get my fill from running all over neighborhoods and trails in the Bay area. Your dog will not be bored on field trips with me.

- I run on all terrains and in all weather conditions. Your paw pal will not be disappointed.

- Just having a good ol time. Of course, we don't always have to run, though, I'm an ideal match for dogs (any size-- small dogs love running too) that love activity and the outdoors. In lieu of running, we can also play at dog parks, fetch, go on hikes, or just cuddle.

- I've had and cared for dogs throughout my life, including: German shorthaired pointers, chihuahuas, boxers, min-pins.

- I've enrolled in dog training courses. I can help foster obedience and support you in training your dog through a regular walking/running regimen.

BENEFITS to you and your dog...
- Happy and healthy dog!
- Improved obedience and handling on leash.
- Improved fitness and/or weight loss (for overweight dogs).
- More relaxed disposition overall.

Often, I prefer to focus on one dog or one household (owners with more than one dog) at a time. Thus, my attention will be focused on your dog(s). I am flexible to stay with your paw pal at your home or make regular visits -- dog boarding is not offered at this time. I currently work from home as a contributor to an e-zine.

Rates are assessed on a case-by-case, dog-by-by basis, however generally...
- Range from $50-85 per dog for dog sitting at your residence (no boarding)
- Sessional walks, runs, or visits are also available
- Discounts may be given for households with more than 1 dog
- Discounts may be given for extended stays

Please contact for a custom quote for your unique situation.

As always - Kat does a great job for our dog Lacey. Lacey is a bit high strung and full of inappropriate puppy behaviors (even at 2 + years) and Kat is able to work with her and keep her happy and well exercised. Kat has been a great dog watcher for us!

Kat was amazing! We were able to fully enjoy our week long vacation knowing our lab Lucy was in such good hands. Kat sent me daily pictures of their adventures, including walks around the city, sight-seeing, and play time. In every picture our dog was all smiles. Will 100% be using Kat again!

Kat is great!
Best dog sitter ever! Uses her common sense as well as love and attention. She's the greatest!
Kat offered much more than dog sitting support for our energetic black lab. She gave Lacey excellent exercise and worked with her to try to improve her ability to walk on leash without pulling. Kat also worked on socializing our very reactive dog. She provided updates and gave us a thorough de-brief when we returned home.

We have an older dog who is not into too much excercise. Cat was wonderful with her.Gave her just the right amount, of exercise, but not too much, watched out that she was eating enough.we will definetely use Cat again
Kat is a very attentive and engaged dog walker! She not only walked my dog Karma but did training exercises with her as well. She worked with her pulling on leash and even took her on trail runs. She is communicative and very professional. I highly recommend her.

Kat was very easy going and professional. We really appreciated her go with the flow disposition and the pets warmed up to her very quickly. We will absolutely request her again!
We love Kat!!!
She came highly recommend to us by friends of ours. I was originally kinda leary to try something like this out as we have always lived by family in the past and am kinda the worrier type.. But our friends have been having great experiences, so I decided to go for it.

Kat is very competent in communicating and with handling animals. She texted us with any questions and sent pictures of our dog on hikes and our cat napping on the couch to put my mind at ease while we were gone. Wasbi (our dog) went to work with Kat one day and had great hikes and long walks (probably more than he usually gets with us!) which kept his nerves at ease too. Our cat gets super lonely if no one is around and usually has a horse voice when we get home (from meowling)...not this time because she had company, even at night. So this is the way for us to go from now on! :-)

We're moving soon and wish we could take Kat with us to LA!!

Kat was great with our dog Chip and cat Wingnut! Chip is an active border collie who we adopted 5 months ago, and who had not yet been left with someone other than us. We were nervous about leaving him for the first time, and Kat was very understanding. She asked if we'd like photo updates, and if so, how often. She then diligently sent them to us, showing us how happy Chip was on a trail or in a park.

She was great with our cat as well, and when we returned, our house was as clean as we left it.

We'd definitely book Kat again and recommend her highly!

Kat is a wonderful dog walker and trainer. She is always so detailed in following up with me on how the walks go and how our pup has progressed as well as areas she still needs to work on. Kat will tire our dog out completely on trail runs or hikes. I know that when she is walking our dog, its not just a walk, its a workout and training session too, which is much much appreciated. She is thorough, responsive, and very caring and I highly recommend her.

Seems great as usual! Just got back but the pups look swell and very happy. How do I keep this up? (ha!)
Don't think my dogs have ever had as much exercise and fun! Kat did a great job! I appreciated the updates but probably didn't need them daily. As it was our first time, it was a good thing, though. Highly recommend her for both house and pups!
Kat is absolutely amazing! She is so playful and energetic; our dog is always happy to see her. Kat has a big caring, heart; we know that our dog is in great hands while we are away. Usually when we are gone, our dog is a picky-eater, but with Kat and her outstanding cooking skills, she ate with her enhanced kibble with gusto! Kat is very trust-worthy, dedicated and considerate; our house was tidy upon our return. What a relief it is to leave our dog and home in Kat's care.

Kat provided our most positive DogVacay experience to date! She was positive, energetic, detail oriented and active with our boys. She provided just the right amount of updates and details on how our boys were doing while we were away.

My husband and I took an extended vacation over the Holidays and Kat was willing to accomodate our needs and despite this being the first time she watched our dogs she was willing to take them on for 10 days. Kat even provided the boys with a Christmas gift.....it was so wonderful and thoughtful of her. Kat also knows the Bay area well and found the perfect open spaces and dog parks to entertain our very active younger dog.

I would recommend Kat to anyone especially to owners of active dogs.

Kat was great! She took Uly for long runs and even gave him a bath when he got muddy. She asked thorough questions about his care so i was reassured he was in good hands. I received pictures every day and she even gave him a christmas gift because she took care of him over the holidays. Uly was happy and healthy when I got home. Would definitely recommend Kat as a dogvacay host, especially for someone who has an active dog.
