Laurelle is a godsend! I had to travel abroad at very short notice, and had to leave my 2 kitties for almost 2 months, so I was really worried, but Laurelle really came through! She was gracious enough to adjust her schedule around my emergency and took wonderful care of the cats. They really got attached to her pretty quickly and it was clear they were happy and loved. The numerous photos and reports of how the kitties were feeling really made my day. She was also careful to monitor their food intake, report if they seemed sick, give them a hair brushing if they were throwing up hairballs etc. I really recommend Laurelle and I'm very happy to entrust her with my kitties going forward!

Laurelle is a very trustable sitter. I asked Laurelle to look after our cats for the second time. Laurelle did not only routine tasks perfectly, such as feeding them and cleaning their litter boxes, but also got close enough to both cats to play together! Looking at photos of our cats playing with her without being afraid, I feel quite relieved. She got trust from our cats, and thus from us too 😃

KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK 💯 Kindly only reach out to me if you have a serious inquiry and are 100% sure about your travel dates. Please know that my calendar is updated [at least] weekly, so the availability you are seeing is correct. 📝 New clients are required to fill out an onboarding form prior to the meet & greet and first booking. Even for last minute requests, there are no exceptions. The onboarding information is used to ensure safety and clear communication before your departure. 🗓 I do not reserve dates until we have had a meet & greet and the booking has been paid. 🙋🏻‍♀️ If your friend or family member is your primary pet care provider, please know that we would not be a good fit if you plan to book me as a backup sitter (with the intention of cancelling your booking contingent on your family member's availability). This ensures that my availability can stay open for clients who truly need service. ❤️ I only ask that my clients be respectful of my procedures and my time. If this works for you, then we would be a great fit and you can expect me to only go above and beyond for you and your pets! ADDITIONAL SERVICES & FEES
Key pick-up (scheduled at client's home only): $15
Key drop-off (scheduled at client's home only): $15
How to avoid key fees: Use a lockbox, August (or other brand) smart locks, provide a copy for me to store safely. (Key drop off to my location is not available.)
Extra time spent for emergencies $50/hour (This may include things like false home alarms, trips to the vet, etc.)
Note: Key fees are added after initial request is made. Emergency fees are added after emergencies occur. I will always do my best to keep pricing fair and stay in communication with you during unexpected situations as long as you are available. EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS Pet First aid & CPR:

This was a 16-hour in-class, hands-on workshop held at The Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago. Topics included understanding the animal palliative and hospice care paradigm, working effectively with other care providers and pet families, common canine cancers, working safely and effectively with canine cancer patients and their families, and hands-on application of techniques. MY PHILOSOPHY
If there is one thing about me that I want my clients to know, it is that animals are my equals and I will treat them as such. Love and respect are the foundation of my business. I find that these principles are incredibly important when interacting with all beings, whether they are cats, dogs or humans, to establish trust. I am so grateful to have so many awesome clients that reciprocate the same love and respect. MY ANIMAL COMPANIONS
I adore the company of animals. I'm a mommy to my beautiful tortoiseshell kitty Roo. She is so loving and energetic. Cinderella, Roo's late sister, passed away in the summer of 2021. We miss her so much, but we believe that she is still with us in spirit! MY STANDARD PROCEDURE
Before accepting a booking, I require my New Client Form to be filled for the safety and well-being of all fur-kids in my care. This will be provided upon initial contact. From there, we would set up a meet and greet. Please know that I will certainly wear a mask during the meet and greet. Needless to say, if you could do the same, I would very much appreciate it. During meet and greets, we can go over your fur-family's daily routine. This includes feeding details, litter box, play, and hiding spots. Please know that I also keep an open eye for: bug infestations, animal welfare and animal aggression. (Ants are not at all a big deal to me as long as they do not impact the welfare of the animals.) These things are rarely an issue, but I like to make sure that I communicate clearly to my clients so we can start on the right foot. If I decline a booking for any of the above reasons, please know that there is absolutely no judgement. I make my decisions with the safety and welfare of all in mind. Please also know that cameras do not bother me. I just ask that I’m informed so I can be aware. I feel that cameras are especially great tools for you to check on your fur-family when I’m not present. You may be able to spot emergencies or four-legged mischief that may require additional preventative attention. SPECIAL NOTES FOR KITTIES
If you have a cat that requires medication, I typically request for all hard-to-reach hiding spots to be blocked from entry. Please know that I am just one person and can only do my best to medicate safely within the allotted time. I always do my best to fulfill requests, but if I cannot physically reach a kitty or hold them still if they are fearful, then I will inform you that medication could not be given and allow the kitty to decompress until the following visit. HOW PET CARE FITS INTO MY LIFE
I am proud to say that I've recently started pet sitting full time! Working with animals has been incredibly fulfilling and healing for me. I learn something new everyday! SAFETY, TRUST & ENVIRONMENT
I always do my best to stay conscious about the health and well-being of your fur-family while balancing the respect for your space.
One example of this is how I respond when I see ants in your fur-family's food. I will often create a moat using some dishes and a little bit of soapy water. This creates a pet-safe barrier around the food and prevents ants from swarming. Behaviors like dogs play-nipping and jumping, or cats hissing and pawing are completely understandable as long as they don't cause physical harm. If you feel that it's necessary, please make sure to cut your pets' nails before your trip. Severe pet aggression is very uncommon and most pets are very social and happy with my presence, but there can be exceptions [as with every sitter]. My priority is the safety and wellness for the pets in my care and for myself. If your pet's aggression is triggered by my presence in your home while you are away, then I will do my best to provide essential care and keep you informed as much as possible. Whenever possible, I highly recommend that parents have a family member or friend that is familiar with your pets on standby in case of emergency.
