I'm an animal lover with three cats and a dog. I know how important it is for my pets to be cared for by loving hands and the peace of mind knowing that they are taken care of well while I'm at work or out of town makes life easier - I'd like to do the same for you!
During the week, I work in Boston and am usually out of the home for 10 hours per day. Your dog should be to tolerate a crate during this time. Before leaving, I will walk the dogs approximately four miles (depending on the weather) which takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. When I get home in the evening, I do the same walk. Ideally, your dog would be able to tolerate the walk and 10 hours stay in a crate, however, I can adjust the walk as needed.
On weekends, holidays or on days that I'm not working in town, I will be home with the dogs. They will have full access to the house and yard (and pond if they are good swimmers) along with countless potty breaks.
Dogs MUST be cat-friendly, house broken and not able to jump a 4' fence. Ability to walk on a leash beside another dog would be great.
My dog is a Canine Good Citizen and has been trained on basic manners and agility. Making sure your dog gets along with my dog (and cats) is a priority.
All the best to you and yours!
