If dogs in our 'hood need tips on socializing, they spend time with Lizzy--she's the gorgeous black and white Border x Lab here with some of our guests. We have a lovely and large (40' x 120') sunny and shady back garden where dogs run free (no escape - check out the pics) but they seldom have more than a few minutes in the yard: three off-leash parks are just a short walk away.
Here is a typical day: Early morning we pile into the car and hike trails on the North Shore, then flake out for a few hours on sofas, the back patio or even my bed--your dog's choice. Play, get a treat or two, play some more, then walkies to the park. Dinner, snuggle, sleep.
Although Lizzy gets along with everyone
Meet & Greet is mandatory! And please let me know any specific requests (e.g. meds, teeth brushing) before we meet.
Keeping in Touch:
I work at home (I'm a writer and contribute to a few dog mags) so your dog will have my 24/7 attention and supervision. You can Skype or Facetime with us and I will email photos on a daily basis--up to you.
We give treats and fresh marrow bones from our local butcher (only if you approve).
We only take in one dog at a time, but will consider two smaller dogs or two dogs from the same home. What a great life being a dog!
I will be happy to provide references upon request.
