About Elizabeth

35 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
...a lot of love, cuddles, walks and all-day companionship for 1-2-3 dogs from the same family. I'm a work-at-home artist with a pet-friendly house. I love pets! I've lived with dogs (up to 3 at once), kitties, parakeets, an Amazon parrot named Sam, aquarium fish, pond fish (I can clean a filter!), frogs, a pet mouse, and some years ago, a pet lamb. I grew up on a farm with horses, cows, sheep and chickens. My dogs have included English cocker spaniels, border collies, wire-haired pointers, English springer spaniels, and mixes. Most of my own dogs have been high-energy dogs that needed to run and stretch their legs.

I work on a computer, I paint, I sew, I cook. I like to take frequent breaks and go for walks. Our dog passed away and I'm yearning to 'borrow' your pet and have a furry friend again, if just for a day or a week.

My home is pet-friendly — I want visiting dogs to make themselves at home. For 2-3 dogs all from the same family, message me for a custom quote.

I cannot board pit-bulls or pit-mixes or mutts that are part pit. Also I can't take aggressive dogs that have any history of biting or snapping.

I welcome puppies in the process of house-training, but they must have a crate and, please, let me know in advance. If your dog uses a crate, bring it along, I have plenty of space for it.

I look forward to spending time with your pet(s)!

We had a great experience having our dog stay with Elizabeth. She was very prompt in replying and coordinating details, and I received updates through the weekend. Elizabeth was also helpful in making sure I knew what to bring with me, and making sure that she learned everything about our dog that she needed to take good care of her.

We had the most wonderful vacation thanks to Lizzie. I cannot imagine a more perfect home-away-from-home for our lab. It gave me peace of mind to know Lizzie understood some special needs for our elderly dog that we discussed at our initial meet-and-greet. While we were away, Lizzie's great pictures and cheery notes describing how they were getting along were a pleasant reminder that our dog was enjoying her vacay too! When we picked her up, she was obviously in good condition and good spirits and seemed quite at home at Lizzie's. We will definitely be repeat customers!

Elizabeth and her husband are definitely dog people! She was excellent with my dog, who was difficult to find a sitter for (he currently has a knee injury, is dog reactive, and warms up slowly). I really appreciated the questions she asked about my dog's habits and schedule so his stay was as comfortable as possible (she even allowed him to sleep under their bed). I also appreciated that she only cares for dogs from one family at a time. She kept me updated with messages and pictures throughout the week. I would definitely book a stay with her again!

Elizabeth was very kind. She was thorough with her questions, friendly in her conversation, and treated my dog and I with respect and love. She is a great sitter and I would love to take my pup back to her in the future!
