Josh and I have been married 7 years, dated 8. I had only had cats up to that point but fell in love with his dog. It is amazing what a difference Josh's training makes. Since that point we've owned three dogs, fostered 5 dogs and what seems like a million cats and kittens, and pet sat for friends/family dogs/cats.
We have one spoiled dog and one spoiled cat (and it is possible to separate the cat if not a good mix).
I have a three year old son, so it is imperative that the dog be okay with kids. They will never be alone together and Liam knows how to respect animals.
We love animals in this house! They are allowed on the furniture as well. The way our house is set up is we have a large mud room with a dog door to the back yard. The mud room is a fully insulated/heated/cooled room so even though it is super ugly from previous dogs' scratching, it is totally comfortable. My dog roams the whole house and yard as she pleases. It is also easy to shut off access if free rein won't work. We do not leave them unattended.
I have a full time 8-5 job and my husband has a part time evening job so other than me being gone for church one night and handbells another, there is almost always someone home.
We live 10 minutes from the airport so are happy to pick up and drop off. We are just off 67, right between 465 and the Ameriplex/Ronald Reagan access to 70.
