I have been around animals all my life. Grew up on a 100 acre farm in Texas where people would constantly dump animals on our land. We always took them in and cared for them and made them part of our families. Dogs and cats have always been an integral part of my life even more so the older I have gotten. I think at this point I need them more than they need me! I have luckily passed my love of animals onto my two children and continue to hope to do so! In the last year we unfortunately lost two dogs and have been heartbroken without a dog in our house. Luckily we have lots of neighbors that let us watch their dogs as well as being able to help with a new puppy some.
I was never comfortable boarding my dogs even though I had known my vet and the facility for over 10 years. I just wasn't at ease with my dog not having more room to run and play as well as having to listen to a lot of barking. It stressed me out and I didn't want my dog stressed as well. My neighbors and I would take turns watching each others dogs instead and still do.
I am fortunate enough to only work until early afternoon only ten minutes from my house, so luckily if your sweet pooch is with me, they will not be alone the entire day and I'm not far away! Plus they will get the added benefit of me holding ridiculously funny conversations with them!
