About Liz

13 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
(Holiday rates $10/night) I am a licensed veterinary technician with more than 10 years of experience in veterinary medicine and professional dog sitting! I've received formal education and real-hospital experience with administering oral medications, eye medications, ear medications, ear cleanings, injections, bandage care, post-operative care, and any other special needs requirement. Educated and experienced in behavioral training and modification techniques (only positive reinforcement redirect techniques utilized).

While caring for your k9 kid, I will send daily updates and pictures so you know your dog is in good hands, and being properly cared for. Nail trims and other grooming services can be included if requested (additional fees may apply).

What better way to know your dog is being fully loved, receiving the highest quality of care, and completely safe, than by hiring a person who has received a degree in and has dedicated more than a third of her life to caring for dogs?!

As an in-house dog sitter, I will perform other duties around the house such as checking the mail, watering plants, etc., but will always respect your privacy and remain in the designated areas of the house and not go elsewhere. You'll return to a house just as you left it and enjoy your vacation knowing your dog, home, and belongings are safe, respected, and well cared for.

Liz is a dog whisperer. She absolutely loves them. That coupled with her training as a veterinary technician makes her the ideal person to entrust your dog(s) with while you're on vacation or away on business.

My husband and I rescued a two year old Bull Terrier, Lucy two years ago this October,

Our decision to recuse a companion did not come lightly to us. We had many conversations about the needs of our now beloved four year old, Lucy and the responsibilities of her care.

We are very dedicated to her and when my husband's elderly family needed us with them in Texas, I was very stressed about who would care for Lucy in our absence.

Boarding was out of the question. I did not want to burden friends with walking Lucy and I felt Lucy needed more than just a walk, fresh water and feed. I wanted her to have a Human Companion to spend quality time with her and give Lucy the enrichment time, I felt Lucy deserved and needed.

I found Liz. She and Lucy hit it off pretty quickly. Liz knows dogs! While reviewing Lucy's food requirements, Liz was very knowledgeable about Food Allergies and understood Lucy's strict dietary requirements.

This sounds like rambling to people who's furry companions do not experience this, but it's a very relieving feeling knowing she is not going to give her a try that is going to make Lucy's allergies flair up.

The Bull Terrier breed, in general is a naughty breed. With Liz being an RVT (That a Registered Vet Tech - Equivalent to a Human RN) I know that if an accident came up, Liz would know how to deal with it. Having a nutty - very high energy dog, anything can happen.

Overall, with out recent obligations to family out-of-state, I am happy to have Liz to call. She honestly, makes me feel like Lucy is safe, comfortable, and relaxed while we are away.

We have a large breed dog and a small breed dog who are both nearly puppies and require ALOT of love and attention. We were looking for someone who our large dog (who is very selective of the people he trusts) would LOVE. Liz was just this person. She was completely attentive, engaging and even worked on training our dogs. She would send daily stories, updates and pictures. She handles chaotic situations with ease (especially for naughty puppies). While on vacation, we did not have a single fear leaving our dogs with a stranger for the first time. We highly recommend Liz!

I previously have only left Maggie with family, but I moved out to California and didn't have family close by, so when I decided to go back to New York for Christmas I knew I would have to figure something out.

I was nervous with the idea of leaving Maggie alone with a stranger. But than I came across Liz. We did a couple meet and greets and Maggie absolutely loved her. I knew they would get along great.

Liz kept me updated with lots of pictures and and messages about their days together. She kept my apartment spotless and I won't hesitate to have her stay at my place and watch Maggie again.

She knows so much about dogs, being a vet tech and all. After that first day I was away I was completely comfortable knowing that Maggie was in such great hands.

I am hesitant to leave such a good review, because I don't want her all booked up and not have her available when I need her again!!

But do yourself a favor and give Liz a call if you need somebody to watch your furry child. You won't regret it!

Thanks so much Liz for taking such great care of Maggie while I was gone. It definitely made my week away from her less stressful.
