Looking for personalized attention for your doggy? Only 2 guest doggies at home.
We offer personalized care, many cuddles, park trips, exercise and healthy life style for your pup. Here in Laguna Doggy Retreat we make it happen!
We love life filed with doggies and the happiness they bring into our lives. Working from home allows us to do what we love…. Enjoy being with our furry buddies, and providing the care they need.
We make sure they feel at home by playing, interacting and providing to their needs. Integrating them into our daily activities as members of our family, taking them on park, coffee or beach trips.
Caramelo, our 4 years old doggy, Lhasa apso, is always excited to have friend over. He is a great playmate who also knows how to provide space when a doggy needs it.
We are German-Peruvian couple: German quality with all the love and tenderness of the Peruvian culture. “Meet & Greet” is available, as a courtesy and opportunity to meet our future guest.
Please, let us know if you have questions.

WHO IS SARITA & CHRISTOPHER? DO THEY HAVE EXPERIENCE?
We volunteered more than 2 years in L.A. for Dogs Without Borders, a non-profit rescue organization (http://dogswithoutborders.org/) by fostering many different pups that were in the transitions between rescue and adoption. It was a season in our life that we enjoyed tremendously knowing that we were providing a loving-caring home to those special souls when was most needed. This is how we eventually met our Caramelo.
Previous to that, we both grew up with dogs cherishing the special connection that can only be created between humans and dogs.
Frequently Asked Questions:
How does overnight booking work?
Our overnight booking starts on the first date that you select and ends on the last date you select. Our overnight booking rate will pay for 24hrs of care (per night booked). This means that if you book for one night and drop off your pup at 8AM, your overnight charge will pay up to 8AM the following day. If you need to pick up later than the 24hr time period, this will need to be arranged before hand and will be charged an additional day care rate.
How does daycare booking work?
Our daycare rate pays for up to 10 hours of care. If you need longer than 10 hours of daycare, we will charge an additional $5. Drop off and pick up times will be set before the booking is accepted.
How do you communicate?
We like to communicate via DogVacay. This way everything stays on the record and we are all able to easily keep track of our conversations. We do use the DogVacay app so we are able to send photos and respond to your message quickly. If you do not have the ability to download the DogVacay app (or wish to), you will receive all our correspondence via email from DogVacay.
What do I need to bring for the booking?
Your pup will need his/her food and his/her bed (blanket, crate, or whatever he/she sleeps in). If your pup has separation anxiety, you may also want to bring one of your worn t-shirts (not washed) that has your scent on it so your pup can cuddle with it when he/she misses you.
My dog is leash aggressive but is perfectly friendly off leash. Is this fine?
Unfortunately, we are not able to accept dogs that are leash aggressive. We define leash aggression as barking, growling, or lunging at people or dogs while on a leash. We live in an apartment community and have to keep all dogs on leash while we are going outside or even out to the rooftop dog park. While your pup is on a leash, it is very probable that we will come in contact with other people and pups in the hallways. For this reason, we cannot accept a dog that could cause harm or even make someone else fear that they will be harmed.
What happens if we found fleas on your pup during her/his stay?
We notify the owners about the finding & proceed to take the pup for a flea bath which will be charged for reimbursement to owner. Usually, for a small size pup this service starts at $35 according to grooming salon (Receipt is presented).
What time is the latest that I can pick up my pup?
It is 9pm. Later than that is considered an additional boarding night.
What time is the latest that I can drop off my pup?
It is 5pm. It is important to transition slowly into the night to avoid anxiety on the part of the pup. The additional hours of the day provide time for the pup to ease into the night, away from family owners.
