About Linda

40 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I am retired and I am at home most of the time. I currently have a Sheltie named Laddie, thus the name Laddieland as that is what I call my backyard.

I love dogs and have a lot of experience with all types. I have had two Shelties, a Beagle, Lasa Apso, and of course the "designer dogs" (we used to call them muts), and my 80 year old mother had a wild and crazy Jack Russell Terrier that I loved.

Your dog will be cared for in the house as a family member and spend time outside attended on nice days. I have a nice backyard that is completely fenced with lots of room to run and explore. I don't use any chemicals in my yard as I don't what to harm my animals.

I would prefer one dog at a time, but will consider taking care of two, if they are in the same home. I find it's often difficult for a dog to be boarded with a dog(s) they don't know. I have some regular pups that do not want to compete with another dog and have acted out, letting me know they do not want any competition. They all get along well with Laddie, as they have stayed so often, but new dogs can be a problem So, it's just not fair to either dog(s).

I also require non-aggressive dogs, of course.

I would also require a health record from your Vet. showing your dog is updated on all required shots as well as flea protection.

My rate is $30 per night per dog.

I also do occasional day care @$20 per day. I don't do it on a regular basis, however.

Thank you for reading my profile. Please send me any questions that you might have.

Linda was attentive to my dog. She gave me a good detailed report when I went to pick up my dog. She has a nice backyard that's really nice for dogs to run and play.
Mattie enjoys going to Linda's house. She gets one on one care there and likes Linda's dog, too. Her dog, Laddie, is very tolerant.
Linda always takes good care of our dog - we've used her services several times. Mattie loves going there.
As usual, Linda provided loving care for our dog. It is truly appreciated and we are always confident that our little doggie is in loving hands.
Mattie always gets the best of care at Linda's. She sends us frequent picture updates. We can relax knowing our dog is JUST FINE!
this is the 3rd or 4th time indy has stayed with linda. she is happy to see linda and her dog, laddie. as in the past, linda has good questions about what indy likes and doesn't like. she makes sure we agree on how she will take care of indy. it is a pleasure to leave indy with linda, since i am confident indy will be well cared for. i will definitely continue to have indy stay with linda in the future.

This was Phoebe's third stay with Linda and once again she had a great time and was well cared for. Many thanks, Linda. All the doggies love you!
Our dogs love to stay with Linda...which makes it easier for us to go away! Never a worry when they are safe and happy at her home......so glad we have her!
As usual, Linda has provided excellent care for our dog, Mattie. Mattie is loved, played with, and receives all the benefits of a loving care giver when she is there. It gives us such peace of mind to be confident that our dog is in good hands.
Our dog, Mattie, adjusted very well to her surroundings thanks to the TLC Linda gave her. She gets walks, gets to chase the ball, and gets to hang out in her own private space when she needs to yet has access to loving care. We're scheduled for a return visit in a couple weeks.

Rascal just completed a 5night stay with Linda & Laddie, he was happy and I know well cared for during his stay. Linda sends pictures and lets you know how your fur baby is doing. When you have a small senior dog, it's important to leave them with someone who will treat them as a family member!

Linda was very kind and thoughtful of our dog who is quite sensitive especially in new situations. She was patient and tried activities to make Mattie smile.
Linda was most accepting of our dog. She was very pleasant with a warm reception for our dog Max. Our dog was returned happy and playful as ever She gets five stars and we will use her again if she is available. She gets 5 stars
This was Phoebe's second stay with Linda and once again she was a very happy doggy. Linda is a superstar. She takes excellent care of all her canine visitors. I cannot praise her enough!
Linda was a fantastic dog sitter. Our little dog Phoebe absolutely loved her and Laddie. She kept us posted almost every day with photos and messages. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation knowing Phoebe was in such capable hands. We would highly recommend Linda.

We usually never leave town for July 4th, because of the severe anxiety the dogs have with the loud fireworks. After meeting with Linda at her house beforehand, I knew we have the right person. Linda is so calm and re-assuring, very gentle and kind. Archie and Willy had a great time with her!
I feel so lucky to have her, and I know the "boys" will love going back! Can't thank you enough.....

Our furry baby just completed another great stay with Linda and Laddie. We feel comfortable leaving him knowing how well Linda takes care of him. She sends pictures and updates on how his stay is going and if there is any health issue she stays on top of it.
He is always happy to stay!
Thank you Linda!

This was Indy's 3rd stay with Linda and her dog, Laddie. Linda carefully reviewed our trip plans and made sure she had all the information she might need. Indy was clearly happy to see Linda and Laddie. She went off to check her favorite areas of the house. She was eager to play with Laddie, and did not even notice when we left, despite our efforts to say goodbye. She was happy to see us when we returned, although she seemed willing to stay, too. It's a great comfort to know that she is so happy staying with Linda and Laddie while we're gone.

Linda took extra care to make sure our somewhat timid dog received plenty of love and affection, games, walking, the things she enjoys most. I could tell our dog was very comfortable at Linda's place and her individual needs were met.
This was Indy's third visit with Linda and Laddie. Indy was eager to leave the car and join Laddie to explore the home and garden. Linda has done a good job of making the house and yard safe. When Indy insisted on going after some birdseed that fell on the ground, Linda quickly came up with a moveable fence that kept Indy out of the bird food.

Although I set the visit up with Linda on short notice, she was agreeable and helpful in making the plans.

I'm happy to take Indy to Linda's. I know she'll be well cared for. And that she'll enjoy herself too. Indy had a fun day, and was asleep by the time we got to the corner stop sign.

I'm sure we'll have Indy stay with Linda again. I recommend her highly.

I believe that this is the 3rd time our little guy has stayed with Linda and her dog Laddie. Linda takes very good care of Rascal and only takes 1 dog at a time, he gets along really well with Laddie and they play well. He comes home happy and tired!!

If you want someone who cares about your family member then I highly recommend Linda!

Linda is caring, kind and wonderful. My dog is so happy at Linda's house.
This is the 2nd time that Rascal (toy poodle) has stayed with Linda, this time much longer 18days. Linda took such good care of Rascal, she only accepts 1 dog at a time, as she has her dog Laddie a sweet little sheltie. The two played well together with lots of outside time. Linda provided Rascal with lots of sit on your lap cuddle time and she even let him sleep on the bed. When he wasn't feeling well one day she called me to let me know and kept me updated on how he was doing, sending texts and email picture updates. Rascal has been very happy with his stays and so have we.

Indy had a good time staying with Linda and her dog, Laddie. Their home and yard are lovely, very comfortable and dog-friendly. I thought I had covered everything in the info I gave to Linda when we dropped Indy off for her stay. But Linda had several good questions which I had not thought of to cover. In addition, Indy had stayed with Linda once before, during the day, and was happy to return, a good sign. Linda sent great pictures of Indy during her stay. Linda went above and beyond the call of duty in taking care of Indy. Indy managed to foul her crate bedding. Linda not only cleaned Indy and her crate, she also replaced the filling in the crate pillow. The pictures Linda sent were great! She must have lots of patience to get such good shots of Indy. We'll be happy to have Indy stay with Linda in the future.

Linda took good care of my pets. She is a sweet lady who loves dogs and has a wonderful backyard for my dogs to play in. She sent pictures so we could see that they were having fun. We will definitely use her again.
Linda was very pleasant and accommodating. Her own dog, Laddie, was friendly and welcoming, too. Linda was patient with Indy's need to check out out every part of her lovely house and yard. Indy clearly had a good time and fell asleep as soon as I got her in the car. I'll definitely contact Linda again.

Pepe had a great time! Linda and her dog Laddie were both congenial and sensitive to Pepe's little idiosyncracies. We will certainly be back!
Linda has been a wonderful host for our dog, Laddie. She welcomed him warmly and introduced him carefully to her own dog, who is also called Laddie. She even let our dog sleep in her own room so he wouldn't feel lonely at night! Her beautiful fenced backyard is free of chemicals and is a great place for dogs to roam and play. Linda obviously loves dogs and has lots of experience with them. We are definitely going to contact Linda again when we need to board our Laddie.
