I'm that girl who without hesitation stops abruptly on the street to talk to other peoples dogs (always asking the owner if it's okay to pet them first.) I can't help it! I love dogs more than anything. Just yesterday I was in the park waiting for some tennis courts to open up when I saw a golden retriever and started to play with him. His name was Duke and we became quite good friends.
I've grown up with dogs my whole life and know how special they are. My family owned many dogs growing up, one of which was a Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Chester. Chester was deaf causing him to be extremely protective and aggressive towards other dogs and people outside of our family.
I also have experience administering oral medications and giving injections to dogs. When I was home in DC recently I gave my mom's black lab, Belle her allergy medications twice a day. These medications consisted of ear and eye drops as well as oral medications. I also monitored her for scratching to see how well the medication was working to report back to her doctor.
These are just a few of the experiences i've had, but hopefully this gives you a better understanding of how capable I am of taking care of your dog.
I say to friends on a daily basis that whoever my future dog is, he/she is going to be the luckiest dog on the planet because of the amount of love their going to get. Needless to say, your dog is in great hands. I will treat he/she is if they were my own. We'll play, run around, drink lots of water, jump for joy for treats, and enjoy great conversation.
