About Kimberly

12 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
7 Reasons Parents & Pups Love Us:

(1) Petcube Play Cam - If the pups are ever home alone, you can keep them company! You'll be able to talk to them and hear them bark back, play with them using a laser pointer, and more. This thing is awesome and I hope it helps to reassure you that they're having a great time. I'm happy to turn on access whenever you'd like during their stay.
(2) Security is Top Priority - We have a fantastic dog gate that prevents any dog from slipping out of the house, we never take dogs off their leash (unless we're at the dog park), we feed all dogs separately, and we have a full safety plan in place for any challenging situation imaginable.
(3) Free Overnight Bags! - All of my pups go home with a DogVacay overnight bag, which also will include a customized goodie bag! They will get fun toys, samples of their favorite treats while on vacay, and maybe another surprise or two. Packing the goodie bags with your pup is half the fun - they get so excited!
(4) First-Class Treatment - Your pup will get only the best of the best. I have many types of treats that are all very high quality, gluten/grain free, and just plain healthy. I also have various types of food (just in case). Moreover, if your pup gets separation anxiety, I am well prepared. I have various types of calming treats and pheromone spray that I will use for the first day or two. This combination works wonders on some dogs!
(5) DogTV - If the pups are ever home alone, they will have DogTV to keep them happy! I subscribed to this service after doing a test run with two dogs, who have never payed attention to a tv in their lives. Their eyes were glued to the tv the entire time - I couldn't believe it!
(6) I'm Pack Leader - We all know that dogs have a pack mentality. At home, your family is all part of your dog's pack and there must be a leader. If it's not you, it will be your dog. Well, I'm the pack leader here and your dog will sense that within the first couple days. Pack leaders are responsible for protecting their pack and encouraging them to do new things. A clear pack leader makes a very happy, comfortable, and well behaved pup. This guidance is huge, specially in a new place with new people.
(7) Dog Park 2 Blocks Away - We would love to take your pup with your approval!

---------------

My home, located in Redwood Shores, is a doggie paradise! Complete with walking trails, lush greenery, and many new dog friends and humans to meet. It is a very safe, low-traffic area with a dog park just down the block. I live in an apartment with a large, fully-enclosed balcony. There's plenty of open space for the dog(s) to play indoors as well. I like to take dogs on frequent walks around the area, they will have plenty of outdoor time while in my care!

I have a Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie) named Jessie, who is incredibly friendly and playful. I haven't met a single dog yet who she hasn't loved. She loves having play time and has always made other dogs feel right at home, playing with dogs of all sizes!

I'm currently in law school and have a very flexible schedule. The majority of my day is spent at home, studying, and I occasionally have an hour or two of class. I take frequent breaks for puppy love - I go on many walks with my pups, play with them indoors (if it's hot I have AC), play outside with doggie toys & friends, have grooming time with dog baths and brushing, etc. Most of my free time is spent with dogs, as they are a huge destresser for me while in school.

I've owned dogs my entire life, and they're always a big part of my family. Raising two litters of Maltese puppies, caring for them from birth until they found their forever homes. These experiences have taught me many skills related to dog first aid, emergency situations, and detection of problems before they arise. Watching for warning signs is a must.

I'm confident that your beloved pup(s) will love it here! My top priority is to treat my visiting pups as they're my own, so they will certainly be part of our family. I look forward to meeting you soon, send me a request!

Large Dogs:
I will only accept large dogs if they are not too high energy, as I live in an apartment and we are not able to accommodate dogs that need a lot of exercise and play time throughout the day. We can certainly provide dog park trips on the weekends and some weekdays! Also, since we have a very small dog, please make sure they are gentle around the little ones!

I have hired Kimberly to watch my dog Ellie 4 different times when I have been out of town and she has been wonderful. She treats Ellie like her own and Ellie adores her. It's nice to have someone trustworthy to take care of Ellie while I'm gone, and I know that she's in good hands with Kim. Kim also makes sure to follow all of my directions completely - whether it comes to feeding, bathing, walking, medication, or cleaning. Ellie usually has trouble when I'm gone and I'm truly surprised that we haven't had any issues while Kim has been taking care of her. Kim's dog, Jessie, probably contributes a lot to that as well. Jessie is such a sweet dog and she does a great job at getting Ellie to actually play with her. They are always excited to see each other. I can't recommend Kim enough, she is an asset to any family!

Kimberly is a great dogvacay host, She is very thorough, she keeps a binder of all of her furry customers. while I was on vacation, I got daily pictures of Leo being spoiled and having fun. Leo seemed to have enjoyed his time there a lot. Highly recommended.

Kimberly was AMAZING! She was so nice to last minute help us out with our little dog. We needed a sitter for the day and this was our first time using dog vacay and it was such a great experience. Kimberly was quick to communicate with and made our first time with dogvacay the best. She was so sweet and kind with our dog and even gave him cute little treats and a bone. We appreciated the updates throughout the day as well with pictures. Thanks so much Kimberly I would highly recommend her to anyone! And definitely will be using her again in a time of need.

Kim was great with my two Maltese dogs! She was able to administer medicine and deal with a picky eater. She sent updates with lots of photos to make sure I knew how they were doing. Communication was great throughout and she was very flexible re pickup and dropoff. Thank you so much Kim & Sean!

Loved Kim! I'm terrible at planning and she was able to accommodate me super last minute so I really appreciate her speedy response. Bentley had a great time, he loves her morkie too and I'm really happy how well he accommodated to her place. When she took him on a walk and he got super dirty, she even gave him a bath! She's so great because she really treats them like family. I can't wait to use her again!

This was our second visit with Kim and Sean and they were both fantastic, as usual! Ellie came home completely worn out from playing with Jessie all day. She treated our dog like family and didn't have a bunch of dogs she was watching at the same time, which is rare to find. I highly recommend Kim if you want your dog to feel right at home and be loved & well taken care of! I wouldn't think of looking elsewhere.

Everything went well - Kim's great!
Kimberly and Sean took such good care of my 7 mos old wirehaired pointer! This was her first time away for overnight and they handled this energetic (but adorable) puppy wonderfully. They are "dog" people so very capable of dealing with the nuances of a young dog, who needs rules, and at the same time a very sweet girl!
It was nice to be away and not be worried about her!
Callie really loved you, too!

Kimberly was fantastic. She was incredibly detailed to make sure she knew all about the dogs, what they like, any detail to make this a great experience to them. Eddie and Gus had a blast and came home tired after all the fun. We will definitely use Kimberly again and give her our highest recommendation.

Kim was a FANTASTIC host, very easy to work with and sent us lots of pics and updates on our pup. I would highly recommend her and will use her again!
Kim was great! She clearly loves dogs and was SO accommmodating. My other sitter cancelled last minute, the night before I left on my trip, so I wasn't too hopeful that anyone would take Ellie on such short notice, especially for a first visit. But Kim responded to my request immediately and i was booked with her within 10 minutes - life saver!

Even though we were short on time, she was very well organized and knew exactly what information she needed and how the whole process worked. I immediately felt comfortable with her and Ellie absolutely adored her, as well as her little puppy Jesse who is the sweetest thing.

The accommodations were great, especially all he grass and walking areas. She also sent me regular updates more than once daily, including pictures, which really helped to make me feel at ease. We will definitely be using Kim again, and highly recommend her to others!
