I am studying to become a veterinarian. I really love animals but don't get enough experience with them at this point in my career so I want to take this opportunity to both work and be around animals all of the time. I have volunteered at animal shelters, primarily a dog shelter in Santa Barbara. Almost everyone in my family has a dog and I love being around them. I have a cat but I can't get any other pets as she wants to be the only one. I have a car and I think it would be great to take dogs out not just around the neighborhood, but to the beach or on a hike.
