About Kim

10 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
We are a homeschooling family who loves animals of all kinds and who can't wait to host your furry friend on our farm!

Our home is situated on 17 acres full of empty pastures and wooded trails just waiting to be enjoyed. We have two kids, Sam (16) and Kendall (14) who are thrilled to entertain and exercise the variety of doggie guests who stay with us. Since they study here at home, we can plan our day around your dog's needs and be sure to include lots of ball-throwing and tummy-rubbing time. Most of our guests end up sleeping with the kids and snuggling with the whole family on the furniture (if it is ok with their parents, of course!) Plus, like most teens, Sam and Kendall love to you can expect doggie updates and pics throughout the day!

Our one and a half year old Aussie/Dachsund mix Shelby is small enough to make petite pooches feel safe, but big enough to enjoy playing with larger breed dogs. Rescue kitty, Sadie, retreats safely to our enclosed basement when we have a guest. We are not equipped to handle aggressive dogs, pups who aren't potty trained, dogs who habitually mark their territory or who chew things other than their toys! We prefer dogs who are well behaved enough to be alone in our home if we have an appointment or need to run an errand.

While we live in a rural area, near Madison, we are only 30 minutes from Greensboro, High Point and Winston Salem and would be happy to meet you in one of these places to pick up or drop off your pup. We love to entertain "city" dogs and give them a taste of life in the country. We look forward to loving your dog like one of the Knight family!

We have never felt comfortable with leaving our pet with anyone until we found Kim and her family. We were very pleased. After the first meeting, we never doubted that she was in good hands. They took very good care of her and sent updates and pictures.Sophie has allergies and medications to be given daily, which was given as instructed. I Would not hesitate to leave her there again.
Great family, they treat your baby as one if their own. Very through with all the special diet instructions that Kona has and his daily insulin shots. I would definitely recommend and will book again!
Kim and her family are absolutely amazing! We received the cutest pictures every day and a nice message to let us know our dog was doing well. I felt like we were leaving our dog, Zoe with family members! This is by far the best experience we have ever had with dog sitters and will take Zoe there again!! She was absolutely exhausted when she returned home so we know Kim's family took a lot of time with our dog to keep her busy and happy! Can't say enough about how great these guys are!
Our dog, Angel, had a great stay with Kim and her family! We know Kim and her family are a good match from the 2 meet and greets. Our dog really took to them. When Angel was dropped off for her stay, she ran into the house with great excitement and didn't have any separation anxiety. Kim texted pictures daily and kept us up to date We are thrilled to have found Kim and her family for Angel, and we have just rebooked for the next doggie vacay....
What a wonderful experience for us and for our boy, Kona. He is a little high maintenance due to his diabetes but Kim and her family took him in and made him a part of their own. We were sent regular updates as well as photos during the week we were out of the country, which certainly gave us peace of mind. I would highly recommend and book with them again in the future! If Kona could talk I would say he was "sad" his vacation was over since he spent most of his first day back home sleeping it off
Kim and her family took care of our dog, Oliver, over the Christmas holiday. Kim sent us daily texts/pictures to let us see how Oliver was doing. Oliver had a wonderful time with Kim and her family, and we would absolutely use Kim again to take care of our dog!
