About Kirsten

8 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
My name is Kirsten and I am a senior year student at University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus for Veterinary Technology. Because of the education I have received/am receiving I have extensive experience caring for animals of all shapes and temperaments. I have experience administering medication of many varieties and I have some basic knowledge on training and grooming. I live in Ridgetown in a rented house with no stairs (better for senior dogs) and a completely fenced backyard so bathroom breaks are easily frequent. I live on a quiet street so walk will not be overwhelming and I have no other dogs at this residence so there is no risk of fighting or ailment. The only pet I currently have at this address is my fish Nigel. I completely understand that it is hard to leave your pet in the care of a sitter while you're away because your worry about your furry member of the family. I want to assure you that I will do everything in my power to keep your pet happy and comfortable and you can always text for an update.

Let me begin by saying that in my life so far I haven't found, nor do I think I will, a person that loves and cares for animals with the unique compassion and dedication that Kirsten Taylor exhibits.

I have known Kirsten for 5 years and in that time she has never done a single thing to bring harm to an animal. However, I don't think that simply saying that accurately describes her profound stance in favor of proper animal care, so please let me explain some recent developments in her life.

Last year Kirsten began her studies in the Ridgetown vet-tech program. It was extremely difficult and emotionally taxing, but through impeccable organizational and academic skill, she earned her place on the much smaller list of students to make it to the second and final year of the program.

Most of the students were thrilled to be moving on the second year, but Kirsten couldn't stop worrying about the mandatory and questionably ethical lessons she would be required to perform, most of which causing unnecessary harm and discomfort to the on-campus dog colony that she loves so deeply. She knew that a difficult decision between her moral and academic health would be coming soon.

A few months ago, she found herself at that crossroads and she decided to decline a mandatory lab, knowingly making herself ineligible to complete her program, but making sure that her hands did no harm to the furry companions who trust and love her so much.

Though this is by no means the only example I could give, I think it does a great job of expressing her irrefutable value as an asset to your organization.

Kirsten is a huge animal lover and always has been. She has had pets all of her life and worked countless hours with animals in shelters and on farms. I know no one else that would be a more caring and devoted pet sitter.

Kirsten has always been an animal lover. She's rescued baby racoons and nursed them until they were strong enough to send to a centre. She has housed cats and kittens until she could find homes that she felt could accomodate new arrivals. She's worked at shelters, goat farm, horses and kennels. Her passion is dogs. Loves to play and train them. She would be a great asset to any pet!!!
