“I have personally known April for over 30 years and she has ALWAYS been an animal lover. She has said from the time she was a child that she wanted to own a little house with a lot of land so she could open it up to all animals. I have seen her take two dogs that had never worn leashes, get them to walk straight, in a line, and like they had been doing it their entire lives, with a 100 pound lab mix, thrown in there, too! All within a block radius. Animals have a good sense of people, to say that April has never met an animal who doesn't love her would be telling a fib. I have never seen an animal NOT flock to her. She will get right on down on her hands and knees and give all the fur babies love! It doesn't matter what type of animal, what type of temperament they may have, she has an amazing gift...she truly is the animal whisperer.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and got a husky mix puppy last year who just turned one. I work from home full time and have a backyard the size of a dog park that is fenced in and available for dogs to just dog out. My dog is extremely friendly and loves making new friends. All are welcome! I work from home full time so will be under constant supervision and will be taken on 1-3 walks a day depending on my meetings and the dogs overall energy levels. They will have access to the backyard at all times and are allowed on any of the furniture. If okay they will be spoiled with treats but also if they need any medications or diet restrictions I will make sure those rules are followed! I’m very active so go on walks or runs often and have so many toys for them in the backyard.

About: I grew up on a farm so I've been surrounded by animals all my life. I even assisted when my yellow lab gave birth to 8 puppies at only 11 years old. I'd love to meet your puppies or dogs so please feel free to reach out. There's a doggy playground/ training area within walking distance from my house that I know they'd love. My schedule would mostly rely on the owners preferences or care plans. I am completely free throughout the week and love going outside and being around animals so we would mesh great. Regardless of whether I'm at my house or the owners I always treat the pets I care for like family. I offer dog training, walking, grooming, and honestly anything else your pet might need. She does their litter boxes and feeds them their wet and dry food twice a day and hangs out with them. She is the most trustworthy person I know and there is no one else I’d want watching my babies but her!”

About: I've grown up with dogs my entire life. I've taken care of small, large, young, and old dogs in my household and will treat yours as my own. All dogs deserve love and care. I'm here when you're away. I love spending time around animals. I currently do not have a puppy and so this is also a way for me to spend time with doggos until I have one of my own :) It's important for dogs as well as their owners to trust the care that is being provided. About: I've taken care of dogs since college, when I became an in-house dog sitter for professors over breaks and holidays. I was referred to other local dog owners through professors and colleagues and stayed busy with dogsitting for years. I do have experience with older dogs with medications and recent surgeries as well as untrained dogs. I am new(ish) to the Wilmington area and am excited to keep meeting cute doggos through Rover! Cats are cool too :) I work full time M-F from about 8am-4pm. I can potentially use my lunch break to go let the dog(s) have a midday pee break as long as it’s not too far away. We live in a house with an unfenced backyard, right next to a great park and beautiful, quiet walkable neighborhood in general. I loooove going on long walks if the dog is up for that. Depending on what you’re comfortable with, I’m also open to going to parks & exploring new areas to sniff 😂
