About Amber Lynn

15 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
We started as hosts on DogVacay because we have so much love for all animals.
We have a smoke- free, two story home in a very dog-friendly neighborhood.
We are just blocks from Palmer Doggie Depot (dog park). We love taking our guests there to play and socialize! https://www.facebook.com/PalmerDoggieDepot
We have a couch, several plush doggie beds, and plenty of space to play - and nap of course. We provide toys and treats multiple bowls of fresh water. We have a small gated backyard as well for some outdoor Potty & Play time.
Comes fully equipped with a sweet little Chiuiuaua/Pug Mix Rescue Pup named Khaleesi! She is instagram famous: https://www.instagram.com/chuglybetty/
We also have the 3 most sweetest dog tolerant kitties you could ever meet.
Dogs get minimum 2 walks per day (in the morning and after dinner) and a few shorter walks in the afternoons and before bedtime.

We are actively is the animal rescue community, and volunteer with ACCT and the SPCA, we often have fosters as well. We will be out of the house for minimal amounts of time each day depending on if it’s a work day or not. On work days (M-F) we do offer a dog walking add on service with our lovely walker Paul for an extra fee of $5 per walk. Dogs receive tons of attention and interaction. If your dog has special needs, let's discuss it.

We are best suited for medium energy level/ more submissive personalities, and dogs who are content to chill out when I am out and about on errands. We do not discriminate due to breed.

*** DOGS ARE NEVER GUARANTEED TO BE THE ONLY DOG GUEST BOOKED AT ANY CERTAIN TIME. IF YOU NEED TO NEED TO REQUEST THAT BE THE ONLY DOG DURING THEIR STAY DO SO IN ADVANCE. NOTE A FEE MAY BE APPLIED TO RESERVE.

** ALL DOGS MUST BE UP TO DATE ON THEIR FRONTLINE PLUS OR K9 ADVANTIX or similar.** A brushing and/or grooming is definitely appreciated before arrival, as dogs are allowed on the furniture and in the bed.

We welcome spayed and neutered dogs. Dogs must be solid in their house training (no new potty training graduates).
Request a Meet n Greet with your dog and we can get acquainted.

**PLEASE NOTE: RATES ARE FOR ONE 24 HOUR PERIOD.**
(If you'd like an early check-in and/or a late check-out, feel free to message me and we can adjust your rate accordingly. Additional charges will never be more than the cost of daycare. Thanks for reading the whole thing! Mention this, and you will receive a special discount on your second stay!!! ).

Amber was open for a last minute holiday booking this Thanksgiving. It was a huge lifesaver. Dropping off Penny went really smooth, with a quick walk around the block with the house "residents". Amber was very easy to communicate with in setting up the drop-off and pick-up. We really love DogVacay, and it's hosts like Amber that reinforce that.

Our two doggies stayed with Amber and though they were excited to see us, I don't think they wanted to leave!! There were three other small dogs and they all got along! Amber and her husband must have taken them for an amazing walk, because when we picked them up around noon, they both came home and slept like babies! I highly recommend Amber. She is nurturing, loving and attentive and she and her husband truly care very much about the care, love and health of animals. We will definitely be booking with them again if possible! You should, too!

Great host!
Our dog is a rescue pup, pitbull mix, who is not good with other dogs. We were very worried about leaving her with someone while we were away in California and were prepared to cancel our trip because we just had to make sure we felt at ease. We love our dog Rosie. She's family to us. Amber set our minds at peace within 15 minutes of meeting her. She helped us understand Rosie's behaviors toward other dogs and even offered solutions to help her. We were so impressed with her knowledge and love of animals. At our first meet and greet she brought her own pup and made the intro to Rosie and guided us on how to act. It went incredibly smooth that we almost cried! Knowing our Rosie would be in such a loving environment with someone who really does understand animals was perfect for us. When we dropped Rosie off the night before we took the plane, we knew she felt comfortable and welcomed in Ambers home. Rosie was relaxed which made us feel great and she even behaved with Amber's cats! During our trip we downloaded the app and Amber and the dog walker sent us many pictures of Rosie which made us so happy and homesick! I know this is long but I think it's important to help other potential parents of pups know that this home is to be highly recommended. In fact, we are booking her this weekend so we can go to the beach without worrying! Good Luck! And search no more!

xoxo

I have a super anxious, skittish, and difficult 5 year old shiba inu (Mochi). She is more than a handful so I'm extremely reluctant to leave her in anyone else's care. For example we could really use a dog walker but we have had zero luck meeting a dog walker that she trusts enough to put the leash on her.
The last time we boarded her our emergency contact was called within 48 hours to pick her up because she cowered in the corner the entire time. A pretty traumatic experience for both her and us.

Anyway, when we decided to take another vacation (2 years later) we weren't sure what we would do with her...
Luckily Dale & Amberlynn were more than happy to take care of her and she warmed up to them really quickly!! They sent pictures and updates and I was able to enjoy my vacation because I knew she was in good hands. They are both animal LOVERS so they always had her best interest in mind. Although I'm sure she wasn't their best guest (sorry guys)... she was actually a better behaved dog when we returned. :) She usually snaps treats out of my hands but she has since calmly "sat" and politely took treats from my hands. She definitely seemed more relaxed & chill and as though she went on vacation too!

PS
They also took great care of our cat Chauncey who is pretty low maintenance but still needed love, food, water, and her litter scooped.

Dale and Amber were amazing with my anxious little dog! First, they rearranged their schedules so that one of them could be home with her all night because she's struggling with separation anxiety since our move to Philly (and I needed a night out!). On meeting them, they helped me think through strategies to help her with her separation anxiety and were incredibly understanding about her anxiety. They clearly have a ton of experience working with sometimes difficult rescue animals and I was immediately comfortable leaving my dog with them. They texted me a couple of pictures and updates throughout the evening, to attend to my anxiety, too!

My dog clearly enjoyed her time there! She was calm when I picked her up in the morning and obviously liked them both very much.

I will absolutely be using Dale & Amber again for dog sitting! So great to have someone in the neighborhood I can trust!
