About Tanya

15 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I board dogs of all sizes and breeds. Must be crate-trained or owner willing to have crate-trained. Dog training beyond crate training and leash walking may be an extra charge. Crate rentals may be extra charge. My cats and dogs are on premises but dogs will not have direct access to them.

I can offer help with dog-dog socialization, dog-cat socialization, food & toy aggression, people-aggression & proper social boundaries and house-training.

I prefer you provide your dog's food so they do not have any stomach/GI issues. I can provide dog waste bags and I offer a variety of toys that are washed regularly.

I left my four month old puppy with Tanya for Christmas week and couldn't be happier with the care she received. I know how much attention puppies need and she was even teething at the time. Grateful that Tanya was available and quick to reply. Flexible with pickup and drop off times (our flight was delayed on the way back)! She also sent photos and texts every day to update me on how Luna was doing :)
Tanya is amazing. Not only is she fantastic with animals but she is an absolute life saver to us humans as well.
We needed a sitter at the last minute for a large dog with a lot of anxiety. Tanya was so easy to deal with. She was amazing with our dog, Maggie. She worked on Maggie's issues and gave us great tips on how to handle her anxiety. She was also so helpful and flexible with us and eased our minds.
We really could not say enough about how grateful we are for her professionalism and her knowledge of all things dogs.
Tanya took care of our boxer pup for 9 nights. Poor man lost weight and didn't drink any water for a couple days due to stress and anxiety he developed. It was his first time being separated from me, so he struggled a bit emotionally. Shon came back different, in a good way. Clearly, he developed manners and almost stopped jumping on people, which is still a type of positive aggression. It is now easier to walk him, especially when surrounded by other dogs. He still pulls the leash but much less compared to before. Overall, Tanya was sending me pictures and telling how Shon is doing throughout his stay with her.
We left our dog in Tanya's care for a full two week period, which was scary since it was the first time we had ever left her. Because of Tanya's background in dog training, she ensured that Meechie followed the house rules while at the same time even learned a thing or two. She was careful to listen to our instructions before we left and she shared pictures throughout the weeks to keep us posted. We very much appreciated Tanya's expertise and would leave our pup with her again.
Not only did Tanya once again take the very best care of our timid Rufus, she also brought him home with a few tips we can use to help him become more comfortable around people and other doggies. Thanks Tanya!
Our rescue pup is not easy and that is saying the very least. I almost don't recognize her as the same dog after ten days with Tanya. She's so well behaved I'm afraid I'm going to undo all of what Tanya did so well.

If Tanya has the space available I will board our pup with her every time we go out of town.
Very happy with Tanya's care for our dog. No complaints whatsoever!
Thanks Tanya for taking such great care of our little guy! Tanya allowed us to head out of town knowing our Shih Tzu mix Rufus was in the BEST hands. He has had some health issues and is very shy, and we were stressed about leaving him at a kennel with someone who might not understand his needs, unknown dogs, smells, noise, etc. Knowing he was with Tanya gave us so much peace of mind. We knew he would be well taken care of, and indeed he was. So thrilled that someone with Tanya's expertise makes herself available to do this so doggies like ours can relax and have a vacation too. Thanks Tanya!
Tanya is great! She's great a communicating with you about pick ups and drop offs, sends you great pictures of your pooch doing fun stuff. She's also a trainer so you know your dog is safe in her care. Our Doc came back very calm and well-behaved. We even saw his behaviors towards other dogs and cats improve notably after a weekend with Tanya and her crew. I can't recommend her enough!
Tanya was a lifesaver!!!! She was extremely accommodating with everything including offering to Pick Pablo up on Christmas day. She took him for long walks, sent pictures. She even helped train him.
Tanya is an extremely skilled trainer. She is smart, articulate, and most importantly has a deep understanding of canine psychology. I've been amazed at how small changes in our (human) behavior can have a large impact on the behavior of our pups.
