Welcome! My name is Katherine (though some call me Kat), and I am a huge lover of animals. I had dogs at home until I moved away for college (according to my mom, I'm still my current family dog's favorite), my college roommate had a cat (that my roommate swears I "tamed" after 8 years of it being feisty and mean before moving in with me and becoming sweet), and I currently have an awesome cat at home.
My first college job was dog walking and sitting in NYC. I have participated in doggie rescues from kill shelters and have pet sit quite a bit over the last 10 years. Strangers and friends have regularly commented on how much their animals love me—even ones that are incredibly shy. Animals seem to know that I am a sucker for furry friends and tend to be drawn to me. Indeed, if they are within arms length, I can't help myself; I have to pet them. I usually greet animals first and have to remind myself to greet the humans, too!
When it comes to caring for your animal(s), I have experience administering shots, giving pets (even big dogs!) pills, and executing a wide variety of dietary needs. I am strong enough to handle extra large dogs pulling and receptive enough to know what kind of a walk (or run!) would be best for your dog. I have no shortage of love for your pets, but I also know how to discipline a dog effectively, should they need it. I cannot house your animal at my house, unfortunately, but I am more than happy to travel to and stay at yours! I can monitor and care for your animal 24/7 or I can stop by to check up/play with/love/feed them or give them meds. Questions? Don't hesitate to ask!
