About Linda

8 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I am new with DogVacay but have been boarding dogs for 5 years, and have been fostering small dogs for a rescue group in No. VA. for the last 8 years (my aching back doesn’t allow me to work with dogs larger than 25 lbs)--prior to that I fostered cats and kittens. I has experience with many types of small dogs—especially Shih Tzu’s and Llasa Apso’s, but also Yorkshire Terriers, Basset Hounds, Pomeranians, Toy Poodles, etc. My expertise is in caring for senior with special need dogs.

Since I have a dog-friendly house and a large-fenced yard (1/4 acre) for them to run and play in, I decided to become a dog-sitter 5 years ago. I
believe in loving and treating your fur-baby like my own! I keep my home and yard dog proof so your little angel will be in a safe, relaxed, dog-friendly, and loving environment! I even have a special doggy-couch for looking out the window, lounging and playing, Since becoming a professional dog-sitter, I have received many 5-star ratings. (Copy of references upon request.)

Because I am retired, my schedule is very flexible.

Linda Kelley is absolutely the best person anyone could chose to take care of their pet. I know because I adopted my pet from Linda's care. Linda not only loves animals, but she is extremely attuned to any dietary and medication needs they may have. Linda takes dogs into her home and works hard to make sure they are comfortable and happy. Linda's large fenced yard is perfect for pets.., It is kept secure and regularly checked for any hazards. But Linda does not just put dogs out in the yard and forget about them..she often accompanies them in the yard and plays with them and takes them for walks (on leash, of course) if their owners want them to be walked. I have watched Linda in action many times and it is uncanny how quickly dogs will attach to her. Some dog owners have even remarked that their pet is more affectionate with Linda than they are at home!
In short, Linda is a five star dog sitter...You can't find better!

Linda is a wonderful Vacay host. Our little guy Bently was well taken care of and spoiled exactly the way we spoil him at home. Linda even notified me when she noticed Bently seemed a bit conjested. She worked at getting him to eat, something he isnt very good at when he is away from home. It was obvious she paid a great deal of attention to him. We will be using Linda again in the near future. I was very happy with Linda and so was Mollie. Being a rescue person of over 50 years I asked her questions that she didn't know were questions and she came through with flying colors. My Mollie slept in bed with her, as she does with me. It was the first time in her life she had ever been away from me (she's five years old) and didn't eat as well as we would have liked, but I expected that. If I need a sitter again I will definitely contact Linda at DogVacay.
