***Note to potential first time guests: Unfortunately, I can no longer accept pups over 30 pounds.****
I started sitting dogs in my home after the passing of our family's first dog, Blaze. While he was still with us, we were always stressed to find a place to "board" him. We were never happy to leave him at a kennel. After Blaze left us, I thought there was a great need for someone who would take a family's dog in while they were away. So that is what got me started!
Now with the help of dogvacay.com, I can offer this service to more than just friends and neighbors. I have experience with many different breeds. I have also cared for several senior dogs, and medications are no problem for me.
Your furry friend will receive lots of love from my whole family, which includes two dog-crazy teens. All our guest dogs join Jett (resident pup) on his daily morning walk and an evening "last potty" stroll before bedtime.
Our back yard is locked and secure and a perfect place for a game of fetch with Jett or a nap in the sunshine! Jett LOVES to patrol the perimeter!
At bedtime all pups gather on their own beds at the foot of mine. Then up early the next morning to begin another day of fun!
Usually there is someone at the house with the pups but I do leave now and then. I go to the grocery store, I cart the kids here and there, things like that.
All pups who stay with us will have been screened (in person) by myself and of course (and most importantly) Jett. I give equal love and attention to them all. When owners tell me their pups get SO excited when they pull onto my street, I know that I have been successful.
I can also come to your home and take your pup for a walk if that is all you require.
Check out my other services. If you don't see it listed, call me for a custom quote. I hope to hear from you soon!
**A quick note about overnight stays: If your pup is checking in for their vacay in the morning and their check-out time will be considerably later than that time (for example: Jan 1st check in 9:00 am and Jan 2nd check-out 9:00 pm) there may be an additional charge. Dogvacay.com's system would only charge for one night given a reservation of Jan 1st through the 2nd.
