My name is Kadin Burnett, I graduated University in the Spring of 2016, I'm a part-time teacher at a school about ten minutes from where I live. I'm also a full-time writer, so I'm always in close proximity to my home. I've had two dogs in my life time, a German Shepard and Bernese Mountain Dog. I love any and all dogs, but in my opinion, the bigger the better. I dog sit for friends and family, for up to weeks at a time, and have been doing so for upwards of 8 years now, caring for dogs of all sizes and ages. There's no part of canine care I don't mind, from feeding to walking, to cleaning up. I feel that my home is ideal for pets because it's only two levels, there's only one set of stairs with about 17 steps in total. The backyard has a full grass area to run around in, and is fully fenced in. Perhaps the best part of the house is it's location, only a two minute walk from two parks (Boulevard & Loutet). One park includes multiple, open, dog friendly fields, and a several-blocks long path down a grassy open walkway. The other also has open, dog friendly fields, as well as 5 or 6 wonderful dog trails which I personally jog through almost every day. They're long enough to keep the dogs entertained, but not too long or cumbersome that it's a challenge. I like to get up early in the morning, so there's no worry about your dog having to wait to eat. From there we'd go on a nice morning walk. Later in the day we would go for a ride down to the harbour, close to where I work to visit a lovely dog park right on the water, where, if your dog likes to swim they can easily do that, or stay on the grass and play with other dogs, or if they'd like to keep going, we can continue to walk along the soft-grounded spirit trail. To be frank, I absolutely love dogs, if/when in my care I will do everything in my power to make sure your dog is as happy and comfortable as possible. I understand that people's dogs are like their children, and there's an important and immeasurable level of love felt for one's dog. I respect, and empathize with this kind of love and adoration for your animal, and I promise that I would love your dog like my own if privileged with the opportunity.
