About Rhonda

20 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I've been a registered nurse going on 21 years now, and I have a 16 yr old son who also likes to help out. We both adore animals and want to help out other pet lovers with daycare or overnight boarding in our home. We have two smaller dogs that are under 20 pounds and they haven't met a dog they didn't love. I have worked with dogs that require oral or injectable medications, special needs etc. as well. My intent is to be flexible and accommodating to the needs of your fur babies and yourself.

Explanation of fees are as follows, the overnight boarding is for a 24 hour period so if the stay for your dog extends past the 24 hours, there will be a custom day care fee added. Please ask me for details as the prices shown on the website may not completely reflect what your total cost will be.

As for dogs under 1 year old and the larger breeds (>60 lbs) I will require a meet and greet or more information about the dog and accept the booking on a case by case basis to make sure they're compatible with our smaller dogs.

My calendar will be updated often and coincides with my work schedule but my weekends are almost always open for your fur babies.

I will always keep the dogs with me to roam about the house unless I have to leave for any reason and they would stay crated (per owner request) or in my gated area indoors where my dogs stay for brief periods of time whenever we are away from the house.

We have our own neighborhood dog park less than a 1/2 mile from my house for some fun, socialization and exercise and at the very least a walk around the neighborhood or lots of playtime in our back yard.

If you have any specific questions, I will try and be flexible to your specific needs and would love to help out.

Rhonda is my sister and I can tell you/those reading, that she absolutely loves animals and has it to go around for every pet. Her dogs love her and mostly only pay attention to her as she is their momma and they all refer her attention over most. She is attentive towards them, patient, and caring and they are part of her, our, family. She's able to give more and do more and would make a great pet sitter for anyone who is looking for someone who will care for their pets the way they do.

Rhonda watched our sweet baby at her home while we went out of town for a wedding. We had a meet and greet the week before where Rhonda and her son and her 2 doggies came to our house to meet our family. Rhonda is so sweet and loving and we knew immediately we had made a great choice. She sent us pictures and videos throughout the weekend, which was wonderful. We were able to go away, enjoy the weekend without worrying at all. Thank you Rhonda for taking such good care of our girl. I highly recommend Rhonda, you can't go wrong.

We went out of town for 5 days and we didn't want to leave our Pinky girl to a dog house with little to no human interaction at all. Decided to look for an overnight dog sitter instead and found dog vacay. We found Rhonda and left our Pinky with her and we were just so happy we did it. Pinky had a lot of fun & lovin'. Her dogs Kya & Avery were the best dogs too & Pinky got along with them well. She updates us with cute pics everyday and she's very responsive to our texts as well. Overall, we had peace of mind leaving our Pinky to Rhonda. They're very nice & she's just awesome!

Rhonda is awesome . My baby had a good time during her 4 days stay with her . She sends me updates , pictures and videos of my Digit playing with Kya and Avery her two little furry babies . I told my husband that Digit looked more fit probably because of more exercise she got while with Rhonda : ). Digit smelled good when we got her back. I had too much anxiety when we left digit thinking she will feel sad that we have to leave her but I was wrong , an hour from the time we left her she was already playing with Kya . Her furry babies are so sweet . Rhonda's house and backyard is clean, Digit had lots of fun with Kya and Avery there . My vacation was worry free because I knew my Digit is in good hands . Thanks Rhonda I hope you will continue to do this .

Rhonda is awesome!! Super responsive from the start, took the time to get to know Miso prior to our arrival, and tailored her care according to his routine. She sent update photos of Miso playing happily in her cozy home and spacious backyard with her two welcoming dogs. Miso came home all soft and gentle (puppy-energy spent), and still somehow smelling very clean. So happy we found Rhonda!! So much so that I already booked Miso’s next stay!
