I live in Wilton Manors (Ft Lauderdale). I currently take care of a close friends dog when he's out of town (Zack, Pekingese). I previously owned a bassett (Bailey) hound for 7 yrs. I was the primary care giver. While I lived in Chicago I helped take care of my roommates 2 dogs (June & Betty Jean), 2 cats (Flid & Max) and the newest member of the family, Forest the rabbit. In my neighborhood you can't walk too far with out seeing neighbors out with their dogs. We have a park near by where we can go for walks and play. The neighborhood is almost traffic free. So, walking would be safe.. I've taken care of pets post surgery. I give them all the time and attention they need.
