About Tara

6 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I am a US Army veteran and a dog care specialist. As a veteran I know how hard it is to leave your dog everyday or even for a year! It is heartbreaking and hard to know if you are making the right choice when you leave your beloved pet for someone to look after them. I can assure you if you leave your pup with me they will not only be well cared for but very happy! My house is big and the best feature is the back yard. Your dog will have access to the house and the yard all day and night. I go on very long walks twice a day with visits to the dog park! Plenty of exercise and plenty of love is what your dog will experience here in Just like home care. Meet and Greet is required, so you can see what your pet will experience for yourself and to ensure it is a good fit for all. Pets must be house trained and spayed or neutered. When your away you will get daily updates from me about your pup including pics with many smiles!
Give me a try you won't regret it!

I leave my dog "Zoey" with Tara and I never have to worry. I know that she will be well fed and taken for walks. I believe based on my dog's behavior that she feels safe with Tara. Zoey always has fresh water, shade and plenty of room to run and play in a very safe environment. My dog is very special to me and I would not leave her with someone that I didn't trust.

Lakota is a fairly timid dog, friendly with people, but easily startled. When we went for a "meet and greet," after a few minutes he was playing with Tara's two dogs. When he dropped him off for his stay, he joined two other guests, but appeared to meet them easily. Tara sent several photos of him during his time with her, took him on a 3 1/2 mile walk, and he seemed to be fine. When we picked him up, he was happy to see us (as only Goldens can be), but willingly went back into the house when we went to get his possessions. He came home and slept much of the day as we figure he was exhausted from the constant dog-to-dog interactions and playtime with people.
