About liz

8 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I am a stay at home Mom, kids in school full time. After battling Breast Cancer 10 years ago I realized I wanted to do something I really enjoyed and started to do errands and odd jobs to help other people. I have always loved pets and after being asked to watch a friends dog I realized it was fun and rewarding. My kids and I always look forward to our next pet guest!

We found Liz on the DogVacay website and booked our first stay for our 6 month old Cockapoo Harley. He had a great time! Booking was easy and Liz's responses were quick. We booked a second stay for the following day as well. Liz sent us pics during the day to show how Harley was doing. She was very friendly and interacted well with our pup. It was really great because Harley is a high energy puppy and he ran around and played at Liz's all day with the other dogs staying there. He didn't even want to leave after his second stay! We will book more stays with Liz in the future, thank you!
Liz came to our home to feed and let the boys out. All appears to have gone well. Liz sent pics of the boys outside, which was great! We have her booked two more times already!
Excellent stay for Scully - just over a week. He looked great when we picked him up.
Liz is great. She is very accommodating.Zoey likes going there. We definitely recommend Liz!
My pup, a Havanese, craves being with people all the time. Liz and family were tremendous in caring and responding to his need for personal attention on a recent three night stay. Thank you so much for all of the TLC!!
I have a 10 year old lab who is also deaf. I was a little worried about leaving her for a week with a new sitter. But Shadow had an amazing week with Liz and her family. Liz sent messages and a photo. Shadow loved Liz's husband too and hung out with him in his office. Shadow needs her space and some quiet time, so it was the perfect arrangement. Will definitely come back. Thanks Liz!
Scout came home happy and tired from a good stay with Liz.
Liz was vet friendly and responsive. My dog seemed very happy to be there.
Liz was great in every aspect . Highly recommend
Liz was great. I used the Instant Book feature as our trip was last minute. Liz was very flexible both in receiving Yogi and picking him up. I found out that a fair amount of hosts in our area do not accept large breeds, so we got lucky. I definitely recommend Liz. Our Bernese Mountain dog was well-cared for.
Liz was very flexible and accommodating. At first, we were very uneasy about leaving our Yorkie at someone's house since he had never been away from our home before. Liz was very understanding and even offered a trial stay for our dog before we went on an 8-day trip. Receiving photos of our dog while we were away was really a plus!
Highly recommend. Professional, punctual, very friendly and wonderful with our pooches who all have very different personalities. Communication was excellent. We will definitely call upon her services again.
Liz was great in extending Luray's stay a few days. Our girl is older and nervous, and she seemed in great shape and v happy upon our return. We have a cat and a pup now, but plan to ask Liz again one day!
Thanks so much Liz! The dogs are happy and calm :)
Liz & her family took excellent care of Sydney. I highly recommend her - especially for older dogs that need extra attention. Thanks.
Almost every other month, I leave our two lively dogs with Liz for a week or so with complete confidence that they will be very well cared for. I just picked them up after our latest family trip and was just as pleased with their stay with Liz as I have been for the last several years. Liz responds very quickly via text to questions about dates, times, and how the dogs are doing during their stay. I continue to highly recommend Liz for her highly professional dog sitting services. As always, thanks Liz!
Liz was amazing, I was nervous as I am a new pet parent and I have never left Scout with anyone else. She was very understanding and very good at easing my fears. She was wonderful and Scout had a wonderful time and wants to go back!
This was Callie's first visit with Liz and she came back happy and not stressed. We would certainly have Callie visit again. KM
We have left our two dogs with Liz several times in the past six months and have been very satisfied each time. Liz is upbeat, pleasant, and appears to take very good care of our dogs when they're with her. Thanks, Liz! See you for another dog sitting appointment next month!
Liz and her family made Zelda feel very welcome in their home. We will be booking with her again soon.
I have a 13yo Portie who is extremely sensitive and a bit high-maintenance. She had a wonderful stay with Liz and her family. I will definitely use this vacay spot again for my girl.
Liz was a fantastic dog sitter. I immediately felt comfortable leaving my two dogs with her for the weekend. They clearly had a blast and were well cared for. Thanks, Liz!
Scully had an excellent stay with Liz while we were gone for 3 weeks on vacation. Scully was in great shape when we picked him up and he clearly missed his vacation home for days after we got him back (lots of dogs to play with and squirrels/bunnies to chase there). Liz was very flexible on dropoff and pickup times.
We needed care for a day during a graduation and party and knew that Cocoa really enjoyed her previous stay with Liz and her family. The transition was smooth and our dog came home relaxed and happy. We will definitely place her with Liz again.
We were very comfortable leaving our Sheltie Holly with Liz. She and her family provide a loving home for dogs.
Liz was terrific. We needed a last minute sitter for six hours on a Saturday and she came through with a custom quote and she returned messages promptly too. When we got our puppy home at 8pm, she passed out for the night so I know she had a great time with her new friends.
It was the first time we left Teddy with someone other than a family member. Liz and her family were wonderful! We did a 'meet and greet' and I had no doubt that our dog would be in very good hands. Very accommodating, nice family and a great yard for dogs to run around in too. I would highly recommend Liz to anyone needing a dog sitter.
We boarded our dog for 5 nights. She is a little older and likes people more than other dogs for the most part. She got along fine with Liz's 2 dogs and did really well! Liz and her family were great with her and did whatever the could to make her feel comfortable. Liz is very accommodating about drop off and pick up . She kept in touch to let us know how our dog was doing at any time. I will definitely use her whenever I need boarding. Highly recommend her!
Liz, her family, and her dogs were great!!! Our Weimaraner "Sugar" had a great time. Our dog can be difficult, but she was so great with her! I would HIGHLY recommend Liz and her family! We were going on a cruise and the night before we left, the dog-sitter we had lined up had to cancel! On a VERY short notice, Liz was able to take her and took very good care of her. Sugar didn't even come to the door when I came to pick her up! She was busy snuggling on the couch! Haha Great 1st experience with dogvacay and Liz! :)
This was my second reservation with Liz and there is nowhere else I would leave my pup! What a wonderful home and family. Thank you Liz and Autumn for taking such great care of Pumpkin, I am so grateful to you both.
Liz was wonderful, and her daughter Autumn, was amazing with my dog Pumpkin. I felt really confident that my dog would be well cared for, and she was! I would highly recommend this vacation home for your pet.
Liz and her family are GREAT!!! They treated my dog like she was family. They are so flexible and easy-going. My dog isn't the friendliest when it comes to dogs she doesn't know but Liz was really confident that it would work out with her dogs and she was right. My dog did get along right away with her dogs during the Meet-and-Greet. She gave me an update every other day along with a picture of my dog so I could see her. It was so comforting. I would DEFINITELY recommend her to everyone I know that would need doggy daycare.
Liz was a great host for our beagle mix. She was responsive and accommodating in setting up a meet-and-greet at her home, which has a large yard and is set in a nice neighborhood. Her own dogs are friendly, and her family was very welcoming. She also checked in during the visit to let us know how our dog was doing. I would highly recommend Liz to anyone seeking in-home boarding.
Because of the meet and greet, Cocoa was familiar with Liz, her family and yard, so she went with them willingly. When we picked her up, she was doing very well and came home and spent the evening in her bed, so we knew she had good play time. We had never left her so we really appreciated Liz's texts while we were away and even learned some new things about our dog -- that my son can try running with her. We will definitely leave her with Liz again and may even do some day care.
Thanks to Liz for looking after my two pups. Liz has an environment which is very welcoming to new dogs and I would highly recommend. Liz was very flexible with drop-off and pickup times as well as scheduling the dates with such late notice.
I cannot recommend Liz and her family highly enough. They took care of my energetic 2-year-old pit bull-Viszla mix during the day while I was in the area. My dog clearly had a great time at their place. They have two dogs of their own, a house with a yard, and people at home throughout the day. They are true dog people, and enjoyed each dog's idiosyncracies. They were flexible about scheduling. I was more than satisfied with the care they took of my dog.
Pugsley loved staying with Liz. I would use her again anytime. I didn't worry about him while we were on vacation!
Jeter loves staying with Liz! I never worry when I am out of town and Jeter is at her house!
