We have over 30 yrs of experience caring for pets. Currently, we care for several dogs and cats including many in our own neighborhood and can give you several recent references.

We are Lisa, Paul, John-Paul and Cameron. Our family's first dogs were Golden Retrievers Pete and General. We also had Little Man, our cat who lived 18 yrs. We now have had Sunshine, a golden retriever for about 6 yrs and we also have Peanut for about 2 yrs. Our pet's are fixed and get along with other pets very well. Little Man, Sunshine and Peanut were all rescued off the streets directly by us.

We have reliable transportation and in the event of an emergency we have identified the closest vets and 24/7 animal hospitals in our area. We have also earned our Red Cross badges for Pet CPR and First Aid. We are also very comfortable administering oral and injected medicines. We have done this many times for our own pets and the pets of others.

Checkups and Dog Walking:
The charge $20. per visit or $45 for 3 visits in one day. We will come to your home and stay up to an hour to give your pets love, food, water and exercise. If you have a cat, I can also clean your cat litter. If you have a bird, hamster or other caged animal, I can clean their cage. While I am there, I can also bring in your mail or water your plants.

Overnight Boarding:
We charge PER DAY for boarding at our home. Charges are for the full day regardless of what time the pet arrives.

Love and Attention - We will show your dog attention throughout the day as we're home most of the time. We will also walk your dog each morning and each evening. At the end of our block is the Terry Hershey trail which we also frequently use. We have a large fenced backyard with plenty of grassy area and trees. We also play fetch in the backyard. Although the dogs go out several times a day it’s only for 30 min or less. We have a patio that the dogs like to use for sunning.

Living and Sleeping Arrangements - Your dog will sleep inside on his/her bed. We also have room for a kennel/crate if that is your preference. Please also let me know about their favorite toy, feeding and walking schedule or other special needs your pet might have. Your pet will stay inside with us so it's very important that he/she is potty trained. We are only accepting family friendly dogs that do not have a history of biting people or other animals. We do not host dogs that are not spayed or neutered.

What vaccinations does my dog need?
The vaccinations below are required for your dog before the meet and greet. If you do not routinely vaccinate your dog, blood measurements known as "titers" and which show antibody levels, are also accepted where noted below.

It was nice to meet this family before Penny actually stayed with them.
There's plenty of room in the house and back yard for several dogs to have a nice vacay.
JP did a great job of communicating with me both before and during Penny's stay.
I would recommend JP and I will use his service in the future for Penny.

JP - Was great! We will defiantly be back. Thanks for taking great care of our pup Roxie.
JP took good care of Kuma, as always. and Kuma had a wonderful treat as well.
Molly had a great stay at your home. Thanks for taking good care of her and I loved the text when I was gone
Our dog really enjoyed his vacation with JP and family. Thank you!
Great dog boarding. Good communication and my dog had a good time.
We asked JP to take care of Kuma for one week for a trip and JP did an excellent job in looking after Kuma who happens to be the most difficult one to handle. Great job, JP !!! We will always come back to JP for any future needs.
We feel very confident leaving our dog with JP and his family. They obviously know how to handle dogs and provide a nice environment (both indoor and outdoors) for the dogs. We appreciate that they don't over book themselves too, even though it means they are booked out more often than we would like =P
Kuma is an extremely nervous and sensitive dog that it is really difficult to find someone who can take care of him. BUT JP did a tremendous job in taking good care of him. We're really pleased with him. Thanks JP !!!
Cooper enjoys the company of the family and the dogs in the house while away from home. JP was accommodating of some special needs this visit. Thank you!
Suki spent his first day at Lisa, JP & Family's home. He had a good time and is looking forward to spending the day there again. Thanks for the pictures and text messages too. It was nice to have some news from my "baby" during the day! Cathy
Coby had another awesome stay with JP and his family while I was traveling outside of the country! JP emailed me a picture of Coby "sunbathing" with his friends haha. Coby always looks forward to his vacations at JP's house. Thanks for all that you do!
Very dog friendly environment with lots of outdoor time. My dog was ever so happy to play with their resident dogs and JP and family were over the top nice to make sure my dog was comfortable.
Thanks again to JP and family for taking good care of my dog while away for a long weekend. No complaints, just high praise!
Would love to continue to be polite regarding Cocoa's care as received, but was told this week that Cocoa had been caged the majority of the time he was in the home, or kept from being allowed to socialize with the other dogs. Possibly due to other dogs being bribed with treats in front of our dog who has food aggression issues? I was not present the whole time, just know what I observed when dropping off or picking up the dog. Best wishes to John-Paul and family (including Sunshine and Peanut)!
I've had great experiences with JP and family - both for single days of daycare and extended stays. Getting ready for another long weekend out of town, and feel confident that my 10 year old dog will be comfortable in their home.
Cocoa is as eager to go to John-Pauls for the social networking with the family dogs as much as the slim chance of seeing a squirrel to chase in the back yard! John-Paul takes Cocoa for a walk in the evenings at times that really helps get him relaxed to chill once home with us.
Having Cocoa cared for by John-Paul and Family is wonderful! I enjoy seeing him wag his tail so much when being dropped off for the day, that his whole body moves! He enjoys the socialization and the walks. If I need a varied schedule, they can accommodate what is mutually acceptable for us both- I like that!
I did to want to leave my relatively new adopted rescue in a commercial kennel. After a one-day trial, my half-dauxy spent 10 days here for doggy daycare while I was out of the country. When I dropped him off the first time, he was not happy. The next day, my husband said the dog practically dragged him up the sidewalk to the door -- which continued throughout the next 9 days! He was equally happy to go home in the evening but LOVED going every morning. John-Paul was very professional in requesting proof of vaccinations. I think my dog is missing his doggy daycare now that I am home. I will definitely be using them again in the future. Happy, happy dog and happy, happy owner!
Cocoa was well taken care of- even being taken on a long walk right before I was to pick him up. It was nice to see that they were mindful of his apprehensive response to thunderstorms this week- giving him the extra TLC when he needed it!
Cocoa enjoys his time at John-Paul's so much, he wags his tail walking up the sidewalk to the house! Cocoa enjoys the socialization of being around other playmates while we are separated. John-Paul is a conscientious dogsitter and looks after Cocoa as if he was one of their family. My husband and I couldn't be more satisfied with the care John-Paul gives Cocoa on each visit.
John-Paul and his family did a great job in making our Cocoa feel at home! I was surprised that he is so eager to spend time with them, he keens at the door when I drop him off. It has been a blessing that they are VERY FLEXIBLE at what time I pick Cocoa up, as my work schedule varies daily!
Coby had another great stay! He came home and went straight to sleep. He was pooped! It's safe to say he had a lot of fun playing and enjoying his weekend getaway.
Great job. Thanks for getting him some activity. He came back tired and happy and fell right back into his routine here.
Popeye enjoys being with JP and his family, whether for a day or longer term. JP is an enterprising young man who is not just managing a dog care business but also providing personalized care to his furry fans. I'm happy to entrust him with Popeye and recommend his services and care to pups large or small.
Cooper was excited to see the family again when I dropped him off. Always a good sign! JP kept me informed about how Coop was doing. He was happy and healthy when we picked him up. We will definitely ask them to take care of him again!
Good as usual.
Luna had a great time at John Paul's during our weekend trip. She learned to roll over! We are still practicing, but I have a feeling she does it better at John Paul's than at home. At home she is just spinning on her belly. ;)
Thanks John Paul and family!
John-Paul did a wonderful job of making our dog, Bob, feel at home while we were out of town for a long weekend. We would gladly bring him back the next time we take a vacation.
Luna stayed with John Paul and family for two weeks while we were on vacation and she had a great time. I was worried because she had an upset stomach just a few days before our trip, but thanks to John Paul her tummy stabilized and she was very well cared for while we were gone. Luna spent lots of time playing in the yard with the other puppies and when I arrived she barked like she was defending her own house! She really loves the backyard at John Paul's house and she will surely come back for more adventures. :)
Cooper enjoyed his weekend stay with John-Paul and Family! They were very accommodating and pleasant to interact with for us as "dog parents". Thank you JP!
Friendly family, my dog is excited to join them as soon as he sees their house!
Luna had a wonderful time at daycare last Sunday with John Paul! She enjoyed playing with the puppies since I wasn't able to take her to the dog park that day. I'm very happy that John Paul was able to provide daycare with very short notice that morning. Thanks a million!
Very well organized. Lots of thought gone into the booking questionnaire. Their own dogs are lovely and I am sure our dog had a great time with them. Thank you for looking after Whisky for us. We will be back next time we go away.
This is our second time using John and he does a spectacular job. I don't have a single complaint. I am definitely going to continue to use John Paul and I highly recommend him to anyone.
Our pup's stay with John-Paul and family was very good....they were very systematic with their requirements to host our pup and they worked with us on the same...we got regular updates on him enjoying his time and he came home happy.....we will definitely recommend this family for your dogs and will be availing of their services in the future as well.....
This was our first experience with and we were very pleased with the services. John Paul is a very organized and responsible young man. We enjoyed our initial meet and greet and I was impressed with the dog parent interview process. John Paul was very thorough in obtaining all of the information needed for future boarding and care. On the first boarding, Daisy was picked up and dropped off at the scheduled time. John Paul made sure that he followed instructions for her food and medications (which are many) and stayed in touch by sending pictures and updates. I know that Daisy had a great time and received a lot of attention. We look forward to having Daisy visit John Paul and his family again!
Every pet owner that plans a trip has to know that their "baby" is going to be ok when they travel. My baby spent a week with John Paul and family and I felt confident the whole time that she was in really good hands. John Paul sent text messages assuring me that Sadie had a good night, and that she was doing "great". Just what I wanted to hear. I've used some dog vacay hosts that live in apartments, but I'm especially pleased that the family has a back yard for non-leashed play. Will definitely use this host family again.
I'm so grateful for John Paul and his family's help with Luna. We had a crazy travel week and they were kind enough to let us drop off Luna early and pick her up a little late. We truly appreciated the flexibility and Luna came back home happy as usual. Thank you for taking such good care of Luna once again.
My dog thinks she's in heaven when she visits John Paul and family. Lots of attention and a big back yard for playing. (it doesn't get much better than that!) Sadie has had a few short visits in preparation for a week long stay. I feel confident she is good hands and blessed that I no longer have to board her in a small kennel at my vet's. Dog Vacay is a blessing and I highly recommend this host!
Luna's home away from home! John Paul and his family always give Luna a warm welcome and she has lots of fun playing with their dog and the other puppies who may be visiting. She even joined them at the family dinner! I will definitely bring Luna back when I travel again.
Great family, our dog stayed 10 days, we had regular updates. He had plenty of friends to play with and looked so happy! We will definitely come back.
John and his family were absolutely amazing. My dog loved his stay. They went out of their way to secure my dog a spot at the last minute since they my wedding was coming up. There is no doubt in my mind I am using John again when we go on vacation. Highly recommended!
John-Paul came by our house in the morning and evening while we were away to feed our dog and give him some attention. He spent a lot of time playing and running around with the dog, and sent us text updates and photos of the dog hanging out, which we really appreciated. He did a great job; we will use him again in the future and would recommend him as someone to come by and check in on pets.
Coby had a great time with John Paul and his family! John Paul sent pictures the day after I dropped him off to keep me updated on Coby. John Paul was very responsive whenever I contacted him. I will definitely use him again!
Thank you
Sorry for such a late review......john paul and his family were awesome. I am so happy i chose him and his family to take care of kippy. I would absolutely love to use them in the future.
Very nice family, it feels like home for your dog! We will come back there for sure.
John Paul did a great job again.
John Paul did a great job
It was a great four-day vacation for my little Luna while I traveled for work. She loved the yard and playing with the other puppies. I was worried that she would miss me, but I think she actually got more play time and exercise with John Paul than she does with me when I'm at home. I will definitively ask John Paul to help me watch her again!
John Paul and Family were just great. I plan on contacting them next time I am out of town. My little Kippy, while happy to come home, had a blast with these guys.
Awesome Family!! Very loving and welcoming home. The second time I took my dog to their home, she barged right in, happy, smiling, and wagging like she was at home!! I felt that she was at ease, comfortable, and knew she was in good hands. Thank you John Paul and Fam!!
Great family! We had an excellent experience with John Paul. He even sent us pictures of our dog during her stay. We would definitely recommend his services.
John Paul is a very responsible young man! He and his family welcomed our dog, Daisy, into their home on short notice. She had fun playing with their in-home dogs and received a lot of attention. John Paul sent us several updates and pictures that left us very reassured that she was being well taken care of. This was our first experience with this website and we are happy to have located someone very close to us through We would not hesitate to leave Daisy with John Paul and his family in the future.
