My name is Josh Stoodley, and I've lived with a dog most of my life. When I was young, we had a Sheltie named Hot Dog, and then we had two Bichon/Shih Tzu's: Chewie, who died recently at the age of sixteen, and our current dog, Angus who is eleven. I'm twenty-six, so I've had those dogs for all of my adult life. I also took care of our friend Tanya's dog Cooper when she went on vacation.
I live near a park and the Glenmore Reservoir and we have a backyard that any dog who lives with us can run around in to their heart's content. Our usual walk around the Reservoir is five kilometres total and there's a lot of open space to play around in.
There are only two restrictions: one, I can't drive, so the dog's have to be picked up and dropped off by their owners. Two, our dog Angus sometimes gets aggressive around other dogs, so we need to introduce him to any dog that visits to keep incidents to a minimum. Dogs also need to be brought in by the back gate and kept on their leashes while Angus and they get comfortable with each other
