Oh goodness. This guy is an incredible pet owner. I've spent time with Jesse with his own dogs, and as a sitter for friends and family pets. He just loves dogs. Everywhere he goes, pets of all shapes flock to him. I swear, cats and dogs find him. Jesse has so much kindness for dogs, but he understands boundaries too. Since moving to LA Jesse has a big lovely apartment on a first floor -- which is kind of perfect for older animals -- and so much job flexibility. He's a pretty athletic guy and loves taking long walks (or hikes if the pooch is up for it!) with dogs. Jesse's the kind of person that's constantly offering and taking care of all his friend's dogs. He's the perfect pet sitter, honestly. And not for nothing, but he's a ridiculously responsible caregiver. He takes pet ownership really seriously. I once spoke with him about getting my own rescue dog. He told me that getting a rescue is such a great thing to do, but isn't a whim decision and shouldn't be entered into lightly. He said, "If you're not thinking to yourself, 'I want to be the best pet owner I can be, and give a dog the best home' then you might not be ready. Sometimes it sucks rolling out of bed at 6AM or giving up that evening out. It should be something you want to do really well." I don't know why, but that struck me. Jesse's a good guy. And he'd treat your dog like a part of his family.
