Hello! My name is Jenni and I am a passionate dog lover. Because I love dogs so much, I volunteered at the Oshkosh Area Humane Society while I was in college. I also fostered a dog from OAHS; she was a small jack russell/chihuahua mix named Pebbles. Pebbles was a very sweet dog who followed me around everywhere. Sadly, she had seizures. That is why the OAHS needed me to foster her. Aside from my experiences at the OAHS and with my own dogs, past and present, I also spent a small amount of time working at a doggy daycare where I monitored dogs in large groups as they played. However, I prefer to work with small groups of dogs, such as dogs that live together or are bonded, or single dogs.
A typical day with me will differ for every dog as each dog will have different needs. For instance, a high-energy dog will need more exercise and play than a low-energy or senior dog. However, each dog can look forward to exercise in some form, as I feel it is very important to exercise dogs to keep them healthy.
Before I take care of any dogs, I would like to know about their energy levels, any behavioral issues they have, if they have any medication or health needs, and also if they have ever shown any signs of aggression. For my own safety, I will not work with any aggressive dogs, so please be honest with me about this. Thank you.
