My 15 year old daughter and I are looking to take care of dogs and various other animals over the summer and during most holidays. She is trying to earn money for a service dog, and both of us love canine companions. Our household also consists of my husband and 11 and 13 year old sons.
We're home all summer with our almost two year old cockapoo, Oliver. He is extremely friendly and is great with other dogs of all sizes as well as people. My daughter also has a corn snake, but he is kept in a tank behind closed doors and out of any dog's reach.
We have a two-story house and a fenced pool. Your dog will be supervised at all times, and always leashed when outside. We take the dogs out to potty often, and walk them 2-3 times a day depending on the heat. Your dog will receive lots of love and our undivided attention, in addition to the basics. When we foster dogs from the pet rescue, they sleep in a crate in our daughter's room, but you can let us know where your dog is most comfortable sleeping (our dog usually sleeps in someone's bed).
We have lots of dog toys and we love to play games with the dogs, give them enrichment and take them to dog parks when it is cool.
Dogs that stay with us overnight for more than 24 hours will be charged the overnight fee plus the daycare fee (for example, a dog that is dropped off Saturday morning and picked up Sunday evening).
