Six years ago, when I picked my dog Shelly from a shelter in Raleigh, NC, I was a new pet owner, and I had no idea what to do. The first day, she almost ran away; the first week, she destroyed everything in my little apartment including the window blinds, and she pulled relentlessly on her leash every time we took a walk. What can I say, she's a lab... but on steroids! But with persistence, a little training, love, and patience, she became the best dog an owner can have. Raising her has shown me how amazing dogs can be and I wish we could afford to have more than one. But this is service gives us the opportunity to share our passion for caring for dogs and other animals (I've had a bird, fish, and hamster).
For boarding or sitting, we have a giant back yard that is on a very quiet and SAFE, country neighborhood. We have one extra crate for sleeping, too. The small community street circles around for a nice 1/4 mi walk. We can also go to the nearby walking trail just about a mile away.
