We own a Shiba Inu, as well as two cats, two caged birds and pond fish. Although we bred birds and dogs in the past, our "pack" now includes both fostered and adopted homeless dogs and cats. I have been grooming dogs since my teenage years. Bathing and all breed grooming are available. In addition, we have been hosting dogs for the past 12 years. We also have cats and birds that we visit when the owners are away. Cynthia is an Emergency Room Nurse working 3 days a week, and has experience in administering injections and/or medications to dogs, cats and exotics. She expertly handles birds and reptiles.
Our yard is very safe. It is completely fenced and our dog and guests enjoy swimming in our inground pool during the summer months. In the winter it is secured with a safety cover.
Our house is on the water, and guest dogs are always invited to go on boat rides with us if they like. If they show fear, none of us go. They are never left alone! Our customers say that they never feel guilty about leaving their pet with us. They know that their dog is also on vacation at our home. They all report that the dogs become happy and excited when they pull up in front. As for feeding, we make our own dog food in a crock pot with lamb and vegetables because our Shiba Inu is allergic to chicken, potato, barley, rice, turkey and fish among other things. Some of our customers like their pets to have our homemade food; some have provided their own dog food.We are happy to feed as our customers require. Potty accidents happen, and we are not upset by this. Our entire home will be open to your pet. You can relax knowing that your pet will be loved and cared for like our own. Our pets have no jealousy or aggression issues towards dogs that stay with us. So we are sure that your fur baby will be happy and excited to come here the next time they visit!
