UPDATE (February 2017): Turns out my nephews are extremely allergic to Minnie and she has to leave her home. We found a new home for her and in the meanwhile, she will stay with me! Yay!
UPDATE (December 2016): My nephew started walking (yay) and Minnie has gone home! She will be missed but I know the boys are giving her a lot of love and affection!! The great thing about having her in the family is that I can go visit and take her out whenever I want!!!
I grew up having all sorts of pets around me, mostly dogs though. For as long as I can remember; I have always wanted a dog of my own.
Even though life hasn't given me the chance to have my own one yet, I am now proudly housing and caring for my sister in law's dog, Minnie, until my nephew starts walking. Having Minnie around has made me appreciate the love of dogs even more and I know and understand how difficult it is to trust someone with your pup (a.k.a. child)!!
I have cared for many dogs for my friends and family going on about 3 consecutive years.
I live close to home in an apartment style condo, on the third floor. I love this because I am able to go home for lunch and walk the dog’s mid-day. I always have toys laying around for my furry friends for their entertainment when I am not home.
I can’t wait to get home most days because I love playing with the dogs. I am very friendly and energetic just like my temporary housemate (Minnie, the puggle). She has been a true companion and it is nice having her around.
We like going on walks by the lake and hikes.
I was brought up with manners and believe our furry friends should have manners as well. Therefore, I will correct bad behavior (stern voice used and possible time out) and reward good behavior (showing affection, giving treats). This ensures they have a great dogvacay with me and possible other guest pups!!
