About Heather

8 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hi, I'm Java, the dog CEO of Java's Place, and I would love to have you join me at my place. Dogs have the run of house, no cages or crates allowed (unless you bring your own), the toys are abundant and the humans, Heather and Steve take really good care of us, fetching our food, throwing ball in the backyard, letting us watch the TV on the couch or the squirrels in the trees. The large, fully fenced backyard lets us check out the surrounding smells, birds and other fun things outdoors. Join in on the fun! Families of multiple dogs are always welcome.

Heather is a Certified Canine Massage Therapist, so for older and arthritic dogs, this is the place for you! Lots of TLC and cushy beds to ease your bones onto for your comfort.

Heather can also come to you at your home to care for you when your human is on vacation, if you'd prefer.

She's also has years of experience with birds, cats, horses and many other farm animals you might have. Just ask for a farm care rate!

She works all the holidays, with an extra $10 surcharge, and takes puppies under a year old, giving them extra attention and training, also with a $20 surcharge. Services are based on a 24hr daily basis, for example, a boarding reservation from Saturday 8am-Sunday 6pm counts as 1 day of boarding (24 hr period) plus a day of daycare.

I pride myself to have a great place to stay, so come check us out. Hope to see you soon!

High paw,
Java, Dog CEO

Ace had a great time with Heather. He came home exhausted, which means he had fun! Thanks, Heather!
Very friendly, great place for a dog to stay! Our pup had a great time playing with Java and some of the other visiting dogs! Nice big yard for the dogs to play in.
Heather is one of the most conscientious pet sitters i've ever used ~
the communication updates were outstanding and when my 16 yr. old had GI track issues, she called immediately and ran my little dachshund to the vet for hydration and medicine.
thanks for the thoughtful care -- it's obvious Heather is a real animal lover.

At first I was nervous dropping off my 15-year-old dog but then Heather has been emailing me messages and pictures, I was so relieved and grateful. I definitely would go back to her place again. Thank you Heather!!
Heather is super friendly and relaxed. She takes charge of the dogs when needed while providing wonderful care. Our dog had a large grassy area to play on and could be in the house playing with toys or resting on his soft bed. It's the best of all worlds. I had no hesitation leaving our black lab with her for the first time. We will definitely be using her services again.

Glory had a fabulous stay a few months ago! Heather was very hospitable and made her feel at home. Will definitely book again!
Heather is fantastic!! She really knew how to make sure that Sophie dog had a fun stay! I'd definitely take Sophie back to Heather again.
As always, Heather was terrific. She was able to take Stanley on short notice, and made sure he had a fun day with the other dogs. I have no worries when Stanley is with her.
Heather is fantastic. She took care of Stanley, for four nights while I was on a business trip. During his stay, he had the run of a wonderful yard, the companionship of other small dogs, toys and of course, Heather. Knowing how I worry about him when I'm away, she kept me informed by text and photos the entire time. Not only did she administer his medicine (several pills a day), she even substituted frozen green beans for his normal canned beans because they are lower in salt. Finally, when my flight was cancelled on my return and I got home much later in the day than expected, she rolled with the punches and accommodated me. Great experience, from beginning to end.

Heather was wonderful in caring for my very spoiled Cavalier King Charles Spaniel over the Christmas holiday. She is very calm. Clearly comfortable in caring for several dogs at a time. Was wonderful about setting up drop off and pick up times that worked well for me. It was great for my Zoe to be able to play with other dogs. I now know I can travel, and feel very safe leaving my baby girl. Thank you Heather. You are awesome!

Stanley had a wonderful time at his first stay with Heather and Java. I left him for the day and based on our experience, we're booking a four-night stay in January!
Heather is wonderful. She is very calm and caring. When we pick Bubba up from Heather, he is relaxed and happy. We are comfortable and able to enjoy ourselves when he is there.
Heather took good care of my pups while we were on vacation. She was attentive to their peculiarities- but got them going with the flow in no time. She has a very calm energy which is a great quality for the dogs. - and people too!
I recently left my older dog, Odie, with Heather for ten days to take a family vacation to Kauai that has been planned for the last year. I was so worried about leaving Odie because he has a grade VI heart murmur and an enlarged heart. He is on four oral meds a day, some of them being given three times daily. This is no easy task, as we have to find something to hide the medication in that Odie will eat. With his illness, he often doesn't have much appetite, and he can be picky about what he eats. I also informed Heather that Odie could go into heart failure at any time, and he can also be restless at night. None of this scared her away. I actually cried most of the day before leaving him, as I was worried that he'd pass away before I returned. Heather reassured me, and she was really good about sending me photos and texting me back when I asked how he was doing. During Odie's first day or two there, he was a bit depressed, but quickly became comfortable with Heather and the other dogs. I could tell this just by the photos she sent, especially the one where he was lying on his back in the dog bed with all four feet in the air. I can't reiterate enough how much this helped keep my mind at ease, which in turn made for a more relaxed and enjoyable vacation.

I would not hesitate to use Heather in the future, and I will recommend her to anyone I know who is in need of a dog sitter.

Heather provided a secure, professional and totally dog-centric experience for my dog, who had a wonderful time.
Heather was fantastic and helped cover us on a last minute scheduling. Heather was very accommodating on drop off and pick up times. When we arrived, she coordinated the pooch meeting/introduction in her nice back yard. After the pups settled into each other, Heather gave us a tour of her home and where the pups would be hanging out during their excursion. We got a great pic of them star-gazing with Heather that evening where they looked more than comfortable. We look forward to Heather hosting for us in the future and fully recommend!
