As part-time employees of the local school district, we have had background checks through the FBI and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Dogs have been a part of our lives for more than 40 years. Our home has been opened to many foster pups--all happily adopted. Sadly, when one died of heartworm complications, we adopted her posthumously and placed her with our deceased pets. Another went on to become an honorary Florida park ranger. When a neighbor moved to a location that did not accept dogs, we took them in until she moved to a dog friendly complex. We have always been available to pups in need. Our home, which sits on a half acre, has ample room for pups to play indoors or out. For those that like the water, there is supervised pool time.
Our day usually starts at 7. Pups are fed and taken for a one mile stroll. If the weather is nice, the doors stay open and they can go in and out as they wish. We tend to hover to ensure all is well. If it is too hot or rainy, we make sure they go out at least once every two hours. Dinner time is at 5 and if it isn't too hot, we will go for an evening stroll.
For those athletically minded, we have a pretty neat agility course set up.
Bedtime varies. Usually put the pups to bed around 9.
We can provide references upon request.
Unfortunately, for new guests, we are unable to accept reservation within 24 hours of start date.
