About Peggy

25 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
If you are like millions of pet owners, your biggest worry is when you have to leave them. Whether its business or pleasure that takes you away, at IN HOME PET NANNIES, we take the worry out of being away. Because I am an avid animal lover and rescuer, I wanted people to not have to worry about the care of their animals when they had to leave for whatever reason. In today’s world, pets are like our children and have become an important part of our families. American’s spend money on special treats, we pamper them at spas, we buy toys and even dress them in fashionable clothes. Yes, nothing is too good for America's pets.

I have always loved animals, and in 2009, I co-founded a rescue network foundation that works with horse rescue operators all over the US to network resources and assistance for equine that have been abandoned, neglected or abused. Travelling so much while working on foundation projects always had me a bit worried because I would have to leave my animals. I remember when I had to leave my pets and travel out of town. I did not have anyone that I could count on and all I could think was, "What am I going to do for care?" It is a constant worry, and the thought of leaving them is already so stressful. So, that is why IN HOME PET NANNIES was started. A pet brings each of us so much more than unconditional love. They are our constant companions, always loving us, protecting us and just being with us. And because my family has several pets, (dogs and horses) you can rest assured that your pet will be taken care of with the utmost love and compassion.

Think what it must be like for your pet when you are gone: "my people are gone", "I am scared and alone", "there is no one here to play with", "are they ever coming back?", "nobody loves me." Add to that your stress: "are they OK", "if I get home late, I have to wait 'til tomorrow to pick them up", "I really hope they're OK." It can be more than a bit frightening when you stop to think about it.

That's where we help ... "We LOVE them, when you have to leave them." Now, your pet can stay in our home, where they feel safe, secure and happy. We are here full time all day - everyday to feed them, fill up water bowls, go for walks, play with toys, and give them the same love and attention you give them when you are home. While volunteering at a vet clinic for several years, I learned the safest and easiest methods to give oral medication and shots, so we can also administer medications as needed. We offer custom rate quotes for families with multiple dogs.

Our home features nice open spaces for romping and playing. We also have a covered screened porch so we can all go "outside" even if it's raining. The large backyard is fully fenced for plenty of off leash outdoor fun and when its time for a walk, the neighborhood is safe and almost traffic free. We look forward to meeting your family.

We were extremely pleased with Rosie's care while we were away. She was treated like a member of the family. I received lots of updates along with photos during Rosie's stay.
Excellent job. Very satisfied
Peggy was great! She was so loving and caring with our dog. Our dog had a great stay! Will definitely use again! Highly recommend!
Peggy's dogs were GREAT with Lucy! It was great to receive pictures and videos of Lucy interacting and having fun while we were away.
This was the first time our dog Nala had ever stayed with anyone. Peggy and Bill are very knowledgeable about dog behavior and treat them as individuals. Nala had a great experience. We would recommend Peggy and Bill to anyone.
Peggy and Bill are awesome and took such good care of my little Nilla. I really think she missed them and their little fella Stretch. I will definitely use them again. I never had any concerns about her after I got the first video update!
This was the best experience I have ever had with leaving my pups! I felt they were safe and loved while we were gone! Thank you for everything Peggy! I will definitely be sending my doggies to you again when we go out of town!
I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with Peggy. She kept me posted on how he was doing and accommodated our unique feeding needs. We won't hesitate to use Peggy again in the future.
After recently hearing of, we contacted Peggy in regards to keeping our dog for a week while we were on vacation this summer. Sadie is a 12 year old lab mix who is accustomed to receiving a lot of attention at home. Sadie also receives several medications each morning & night to alleviate the pain & discomfort from arthritis that has developed in hips. When we have left town for the weekend or family vacations in the past, we tried close family members keeping her at their home &/or ours & local kennels. Each option caused A LOT of anxiety for her. She would go days without eating & it would take her days to return to her normal self after we returned. After meeting Peggy & her husband Bill for a "Meet & Greet", we knew Sadie was going to be well taken care of. She was a little apprehensive at first but it didn't take long before she relaxed & laid down in their living room while we were talking. Peggy & Bill's dogs seemed to welcome Sadie as well. We were worried she would have the same initial anxieties when we dropped her off a month later for her "vacation", but she did not...She walked right up to the door like she knew where she was going! Peggy updated us daily with pictures that assured us she felt at home with them. Amazingly, she also didn't refuse to eat while we were away! We loved hearing the stories of how she played with Stretch & behaved like her normal, loving self around their grandkids. We will DEFINITELY be repeat customers!
Wonderful as always... Very loving and caring to our baby girl...
I am so grateful for Ms Peggy and her husband I contacted them last minute about watching Precious and they had no problem doing so great host as always an her dogs gets along great with my baby girl! Thank you once again.
Leaving our dog with Peggy was a wonderful experience! She treated him like her own and provided a loving, safe environment. Peggy gave us updates throughout our dog's stay, which was very comforting. We will definitely ask her to care for our dog in the future!
Peggy and her husband are first class and treated my dogs as if they were their own. I received daily updates as well as pictures. I stress as much as my dogs when boarding them at a normal kennel but not any more. Fairly certain my dogs had a better vacation than I did! Absolutely wonderful experience!
I will definitely be using Ms Peggy and Mr Bill again they took very good care of my baby girl while we were on vacation for a week and she was very happy her entire stay and they kept me updated with pics thru out the entire time. We have found a new place for her as her home away from home. They are great experienced host. And right around the corner from me. Thank you again for the fabulous hospitality my baby was given.
