I'll go on walks with your dog, feed your dog, bathe your dog, give medications to your dog, and I'll do my best to make sure your dog doesn't die on my watch...but I'll likely be playing on my phone and blogging unless doing one of the aforementioned activities. I might even be willing to take your dog to the dog park but let me go ahead and warn you...if your dog is the fight'n kind, I probably won't look up from my phone unless the winner has clearly established dominance or someone gets bit, whichever comes first.

I'm not one of those people who treats dogs like they're human. If you've got a ridiculous checklist of "routine" items with little-to-no consequence, such as (but not limited to) "rub tummy before bedtime" or "put him in PJs and give him his stuffed chew toy to sleep with", you're too high maintenance for me. And while we're on the "high maintenance" topic, if you carry your dog in a purse or you've named your dog "FeeFee, or something stupid like that", it's not a good fit and we probably shouldn't start the conversation....or any other conversation for that matter.
