I am a young female professional in my mid twenties who moved to LA from Utah five years ago. I love dogs and miss having them in my life, I have always lived with at least two dogs and adopted two dogs myself 7 years ago. My dogs are currently living in Utah with my parents because I had a time consuming job for the past 4 years and lived in an apartment that didn't allow dogs.
I now live in a dog friendly apartment and my new job is 2 miles from my place so I can be home often. My roommates dog was living with us but due to old age (13), recently move back to her family home in San Diego. I am still not ready to commit to having a dog here permanently but I love having dogs in my life and would love to sit for others.
I have often sat for friends dogs and when I have a free Sunday I like to volunteer at Much Love Animal Rescue in Santa Monica. Although I work 10-7 during the week , I can be home for an hour during lunch and will be home at night. I also am free on the weekends and will plan to stick around if I am watching pets. I am familiar with timid dogs who have social restrictions, cuddly dogs who want to be paid attention to 24/7 and dogs who need extra exercise. Unfortunately I cant take dogs that are known to bark all day (beyond the usual few minutes after you leave or if someone comes close to the door).
I also can do house calls and drop pets off :)
