I've had dogs most of my life, including a Springer Spaniel, two Labradors, and my newest baby, a 118 pound American Bulldog. Tank likes other dogs and people (especially kids), loves his walks, and gets along with everyone.
My friends say I'm a great dog mom. My neighbors thought my beloved Labrador, Elvis, was spoiled (he passed away last year). Daily walks, good diet, swimming, lots of toys, and tons of love. I have also done volunteer work with a local dog rescue group. I've handled all kinds of dogs with all kinds of temperaments, including small terriers, dachshunds, retrievers, shepherds, greyhounds, Great Danes, Newfies, and pit bulls. I also have a knack for helping dogs get over their separation anxiety.
My guest dogs are special and so are their owners. I understand how hard it is to leave your fur baby with someone, so I like to communicate daily with owners via text and picture messages. You can feel safe in knowing you'll get regular updates from me about how your dog is doing in my home.
I live in a one-level house with a fenced back yard (privacy fence against a chain link). I never leave dogs outside when I'm away from home and although the yard is fenced, I supervise and play with my guest dogs when they're outside. I have experience giving medicine and caring for elderly dogs. I'm no stranger to lining the floor with pee pads or using belly wraps for pups whose bladders aren't as good as they used to be. My home is quiet and laid back, which is great for dogs who prefer peace and quiet.
I have two cats, so my guest doggies need to be okay with cats (I can no longer care for dogs with a high prey drive).
Please see my photo section to see some of my previous guests. As you can see, they all make themselves right at home. In fact, most of them sleep in my bed with me!
If you are interested, I'd love to set up a "meet & greet" with you and your dog.
Thanks for considering the Howliday Inn!
