About Kris

3 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Who I am:
A bigtime dog, all around animal lover and Graduate student!
The way I see it, animals can do no wrong, and every behavior has a reason.

Special needs, no problem - my compassion is endless when it comes to animals needs. My family and I have cared for dogs and small animals since I was a kid, and I promise to give your pup round-the-clock love and attention.
I worked in holistic medicine for animals back east, and also foster for Muttville Senior Dog rescue so I'm very comfortable with any special needs pups!
My experience with caring for dogs has been the most rewarding and it is a pleasure to have the opportunity to continue to dogsit, especially since the life of a graduate student can be a little lonely!

*Happy to share write ups from past and current clients.*

What I Offer:
-3-4 walks a day = usually at least 6-8hrs exploring parks and relaxing in the sun or shade in one or all of them.
Note: Duration ALWAYS depending on your dog's preference or need. For example, some senior pups I care for prefer frequent, but shorter walks - they're the boss when it comes to that :))
-24/7 Round-the-clock attention to your pup's needs. I don't have a 9 to 5 schedule so I am there for your dog at all times during the stay
-Half a block distance between two different dog parks that are available at all times
-No need to provide feeding dishes - I also have a medium dog bed I wash before and after each sitting, and keep covered, as well as spill proof dishes and wee-wee pads just in case
-Happy to give your pup a bath if they get dirty from the dog park or general playtime outside
-Special needs are welcome - have much experience with my own pets in the past administering medication, and am minutes away from the 24hr animal hospital for emergencies
-Available at all times by phone and email to answer any questions during the stay, and arrange the drop off time
-Happy to provide natural treats from the local Noe Valley Pet store
*Your pup will be a member of my family for the duration of the stay, and the cuddles are always FREE!

Why I love dog sitting:
I was born a dog and all around animal lover! My family had a llapsa Apso named Chazzy who was my best friend growing up. Since then, I've been a mama and co-parent to (2) St.Bernards, many rescue bunnies, guinea pigs, lizards, and (1) cat. I moved to SF from New York 5yrs ago, and volunteer & foster with Muttville Senior Dog Rescue. Dogs are the best companions, offer unconditional love and loyalty in exchange for our care. In my company, your dog will become a member of my family, and spoiled with love 24/7.

Meet my pets:
(2) House trained Bunny Rabbits named Moo and Luna. They are very friendly and mind their own when there's company. They've met many dogs who've stayed with me, and keep to themselves. I have a doggy gate to separate them from the bedroom while we sleep, or even for the duration of their stay.

About my yard:
In exchange for a backyard, I live just half a block up from the local recreational center, which has a dog park and large field where many dogs I've cared for enjoy running about on their night walks - mostly because I prefer to take them to even better parks during the day like Glen Park Canyon, Upper Douglas Dog Park, Holly Park, and there's a great time up on Billy Goat Hill for the pups who don't mind heights!

My experience administering medication:
Yes yes and yes :) I've had special needs pets and cared for them as well, in both situations being able to stay up all night and administer medication when needed.
