Pet's aren't just animals they are family members! I have worked at a veterinary clinic for a combined 7 years and am currently the Practice Manager at a local Veterinary Clinic. I have an 11 year old Pug, 3 year old Doxador (1/2 Dachshund 1/2 Labrador Retriever (yup.. you read that right, she’s one of a kind) and a 7 year old Cat.. I love them so much, they are my babies! I love caring for pets and making them feel as comfortable and as relaxed as they can be while being out of their element and routine and I hope I have the opportunity to take care of yours!! I do currently work full-time as well as my husband. I do only work a few minutes away so I do stop in 1-2x’s during the day to give potty breaks, lunch, medications, etc. Besides brief stops at home around lunch my husband and I are out of the house for about 8 hours a day. My dogs usually have free roam of one of the bedrooms during this time. All dogs that stay with me must be current on heartworm and flea and tick prevention unless directed otherwise by your veterinarian. All dogs must also be current on vaccinations unless directed otherwise by your veterinarian as I want to keep mine and yours healthy and happy. I do require a meet and greet before any stays as it is so beneficial and important to make sure I meet your needs and to ensure things go smoothly. I only take dogs from the same family at a time. If I am watching a dog from one family I will not be available to watch a dog from another. Unfortunately this does hinder my availability but I do this for the safety of all dogs involved and to make sure I can provide the very best care to each pet. I have been a Veterinary Assistant in the past for a total of almost 6 years which entailed taking care of boarding and hospitalized patients. I am very experienced in administering medication.
