**UPDATE: We will not be accepting any new clients for the months of December, January, February and part of March. Since we take fewer dogs in the winter months, we like to reserve the minimal spaces for existing clients. Check back in with us in the Spring! However, we are accepting new client bookings for the spring and will be conducting meet and greets over the winter!**
Looking for somewhere for your beloved pup to stay while you’re away without spending the steep rates that dog boarding facilities charge? Well, look no further! My name is Stephanie and my fiancé, Ryan, and I have a lovely home in Savage we’ve opened up to our furry friends in need of a place to stay. Our decision to begin boarding started with our love for dogs and the 10+ years of experience we have with them. We have 2 resident Weimaraners named Jaeger (4yrs) & Lady (10yrs). Those who are familiar with the breed know they can be challenging to own due to their high energy, separation anxiety and stubbornness. We have learned a lot raising these two in regards to positive reinforcement training and patience! They are the loves of our lives and the reason we began fostering for a local rescue working with puppies and adult dogs. In the past year alone, we have successfully trained and re-homed over 20 dogs to loving families. Many of our adopters board with us on a regular basis and it’s so good to see our previous fosters bloom into amazing family dogs.
We are available all year round for boarding with drop offs as early as 6am and as late as 9pm. You only need to provide food, leash and any medications they are on. We have crates, pens, food bowls, dog beds, blankets, toys…you name it! All food bowls get sanitized between dogs boarded. We ask that your pup is up to date on vaccinations & social with other dogs as they will be integrated into our “pack” when they come to stay with us. We do not board super dominant adult male dogs as well as a limited list of breeds as it makes my male (Jaeger) nervous and uncomfortable and I do not wish to make him feel out of place in his own home. We'll sometimes make an exception pending a meet-and-greet. Please ask us for a list of the large breeds we do not take!!
For new clients, we require a quick meet & greet with you and your pup(s) at our home so you can feel comfortable with the place they will be staying and so we can get to know you and your family member a bit more!
Your pup will have a blast running around our ½ acre, fenced, yard, playing with toys, socializing with the other dogs, or snoozing away on the couch. For bedtime, we try to stick to what they are use to at home whether it be a dog bed, our bed, floor, or crate. During our meet and greet with you, we will go over their normal daily routine and try to stick as close to it as we can. We believe that providing a predictable schedule for your pup will help them feel comfortable at home with us. Please feel free to reach out to us with additional questions!
