About Christine

16 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
My home is a 3 story house with 3 stairs to get into my apartment. I have an enclosed front and backyard and I live 1 block away from Kissena Park. If your pooch does not like the park, we can always take a stroll around the neighborhood. I have plenty of dog toys and a couch you pooch is welcomed to.

I will be the only person handle your furry pet so there won't be any confusion or anxiety for them. I have plenty of energy and can go for long walks or short walks. We can hang out inside on a rainy or cold day or play in the backyard.

I know it's stressful leaving your loved one in a kennel where the cages are small and dirty. I can assure you, I will love and protect them as my own. I can also send text updates with pictures if requested.

Snuggles & Love for Doggie Vacay

I am originally from New York and lived here most of my life. I lived in Florida for some time which is where I got my Boxer dog, Trigger. I came back to NY to provide a better life for my family which I have accomplished.

I had Trigger from the time he was 6 weeks old. To me Trigger was my first baby. I trained him to be the most loyal and obedient pooch you could ever meet. He was the most loving and kind hearted dog you could ever imagine. In 2013, he became sick (old age kicked in) and I became his nurse. I constantly cared for him and carried him outside and upstairs when he needed to go potty. Unfortunately, on 03/26/15, my beloved Trigger crossed the Rainbow Bridge. To me, my first child dies and it still hurts me to this very day.

I'd like to know about their eating habits and their socialization skills. I've dealt with dogs that have anxiety and aggression issues and can help with these problems however, I have to be prepared in advance. Also, it's useful to know their activity level/stamina. I can't expect a senior dog to tolerate a 1 hour walk when they can do short distances only.

Of course, I need to know any health issues and if they are taking medication. I can administer oral medication.

My dog had only ever stayed with family in the past, so I was nervous about having her stay with someone I didn't personally know, as she is not great with new people and can be very moody. Christine, however, did a fantastic job with Cookie. I told her that Cookie loves long walks, so she took her on several 45-min walks. Cookie sometimes doesn't eat when she's nervous, so Christine took her time with her and sat with her until she started eating. Usually when I pick Cookie up from the groomer, she runs to me crying and pawing at my leg to pick her up. When I got to Christines, after a few days, Cookie greeted me, but totally didn't want to go anywhere. She was completely at ease and happy. I would totally have Christine watch my dog again.
